A few weeks ago, serial offender Somnath Bharti of AAP, who used to escape from every charge, was arrested and jailed in Uttar Pradesh. Since then, judgement on many other cases has come and he is very likely to remain in jail for the next few years. After Bharti, another AAP leader, Sanjay Singh, is likely to get his own dose of the Yogi Raj as an Uttar Pradesh court has issued a non-bailable warrant against him in a hate speech case.
The Uttar Pradesh Police filed an FIR under sections 153-A, 153-B, 501, 505(1), and 505(2) of the IPC against Sanjay Singh who has said that the Yogi government favours a particular caste.
Singh will be soon in the custody of Uttar Pradesh Police as the Supreme Court has refused to grant protection to him in the case. He had moved to the apex court to demand the quashing of FIR because, according to him, those FIRs mean nothing apart from political vendetta.
Sanjay Singh is well-known for spreading fake news and making false allegations against opposition leaders, a typical political agenda of the party. Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP supremo and the guru of Singh, succeeded in politics based on false allegations against many senior leaders like Arun Jaitley and Nitin Gadkari, to whom he later apologised after they filed defamation cases against him because those allegations had no concrete basis.
Now Kejriwal has transferred the task of making false corruption charges and allegations to Sanjay Singh. In the last few years, he has escaped in many cases of propagating fake news and false allegations. But, then he did the same with Yogi, and, like Somnath Bharti, this might be his last mistake before he is thrown behind the bars.
Sanjay Singh even took to name-calling journalist Rubika Liyaquat when she exposed the duplicity of him and his party on the issue of the three revolutionary farm laws passed by the Indian Parliament in September, in a bid to liberalise the country’s agricultural sector.
As the AAP leader took to preaching about the supposed demerits of the three “black laws”, the ABP News anchor while first allowing him a wholesome period time to put forward his opinion, soon began demolishing his lies.
Rubika Liyaquat did not need a variety of points to demolish Sanjay Singh live on television. The journalist, who was called an “agent of Adani” by the AAP leader, reminded the man that it was his master’s government in Delhi which was among the first to notify one of the farm laws. On November 23, the AAP government in Delhi had notified the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Ordinance 2020.
Sanjay Singh was incoherently shouting at the top of his voice, attributing malicious agendas as being the core reason for Rubika and ABP News going after him and his ‘ever-so-innocent’ party. Then, Rubika launched her final offensive, first daring the AAP leader to try and call her channel names, and then, zooming in on her phone and showing a 2016 tweet of the Aam Aadmi Party.

AAP is known for its politics and spreading fake news, defamatory allegations against opposition leaders. However, these tricks are obviously not going to work against the Uttar Pradesh administration in the hands of Yogi Adityanath and Sanjay Singh will be behind the bars soon.
