The Lutyens journalists and Opposition leaders operating out of their cozy offices have time and again wondered how PM Modi led BJP continues to romp home election after election. The answer lies in the Prime Minister’s unmatchable connect with India’s poor. In a video which has now went viral, an 85-year-old woman can be seen saying that she wants to give her 12-bigha land to PM Modi for all the good word that he has done.
In a video shared by Executive Editor of News 24 – Manak Gupta, 85-year-old Bittan Devi can be seen stating her desire to give her 12-bigha land to PM Modi. There’s a reason behind Devi’s fondness for the Prime Minister, as at a time when unfortunately her family has abandoned her, she is surviving on pension provided by the Central government.
Bittan Devi, a widow, is dependent on her three sons and their respective wives for her upkeep; however they do not take care of her. Hailing from Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, Devi visited the chamber of Advocate Krishn Pratap Singh with the desire of giving all he properties to Prime Minister Modi.
“Modi gives me money. He gives me a pension of Rs 2000. Therefore, I will give my 12 bigha land to Modi ji,” said Devi when asked about her fondness for the Prime Minister.
The Modi government’s schemes like the ‘Jan Dhan Yojana’ and the ‘Ujjwala Yojana’ have managed to reach India’s poorest of the poor who in turn have become a loyal proponents of the work done by the Prime Minister. It is beyond the scope of thinking of the left-liberals who forecast election results based on the views garnered by a so-called stand-up comedian’s rant against the Modi government.

The opposition leaders too are far adrift from the ground reality and can only come up with schemes like ‘Nyay’ which was a non starter from the first day. The fact that the BJP managed to increase its seat share in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections to 303 is a testament to the fact that PM Modi’s policies and schemes have worked on the ground and have managed to touch the hearts of the poorest of the poor. The BJP’s emphatic victory in Bihar was majorly down to the Modi government’s good work despite the NDA being plagued down by the massive anti-incumbency wave against Nitish Kumar.
