Turkey is the biggest loser in the UAE-Israel peace deal and it just can’t stop whining about it

Turkey, UAE, Israel

The passing of the historic UAE-Israel peace deal brokered by American President Donald Trump with the apparent backing of Saudi Arabia has ushered the middle-east region into new dawn–dawn that might very well help the region gain stability and work cohesively without any more flashpoints. However, there is one sore loser in this encounter that has been rolling in the ground, trying to show its displeasure over the equations that are increasingly getting stacked against it- Turkey.

Turkey, led by its madmen President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan still has not been able to come in terms with the deal that has left Ankara alienated in the Islamic world. Although, Turkey should have seen it coming a long time ago; Ankara had been routinely undermining the authority of the Arab world; tried to interfere in the Eastern Mediterranean; tried to create unrest in Israel by supporting the Palestinian terrorists through arms and ammunition and has been taking a rogue stance in Libya.

Erdoğan, the wannabe Khalifa of the Muslim world was amongst the first leaders to condemn the UAE-Israel truce. He even threatened to suspend the diplomatic ties with the United Arab Emirates.

“I gave an order to the foreign minister. I said we could suspend diplomatic relations with the Abu Dhabi administration or withdraw our ambassador,” Erdoğan had said.

Turkey—new enemy of Israel and Mossad

By waging back-to-back proxy wars in Syria and Libya, and also harassing Greece, Turkey has already antagonized the Western world and made enemies out of UAE, Greece, Cyprus, and France. But now, Ankara faces a new enemy in the Eastern Mediterranean- Israel.

One of the most ruthless intelligence agencies in the world, the Israeli Mossad and its boss Yossi Cohen has already remarked that Turkey is a bigger threat than Iran.

Israel has been waking up to Turkey’s belligerence in the Eastern Mediterranean and its extensive support for the Palestinian cause. India RAW, UAE’s SIA and Israel’s Mossad have been quietly tightening the noose around Turkey and the Islamic country

Turkey is the only country that has disputes with all its maritime neighbours in the Eastern Mediterranean and regularly crosses swords with Greece, Cyprus, Egypt and Israel to pursue its extra-territorial claims in the region.

UAE and its fight in Libya with Turkey

Libya has been another area of a flashpoint for the UAE and Turkey as Abu Dhabi is in the opposite faction when it comes to Libya.

Turkey through its Syrian mercenaries, despite the UN arms embargo, has been supporting Government of National Accord (GNA) whereas UAE along with Saudi Arabia–the de facto leader of Muslim World–Russia, France, and Italy has been supporting Libyan National Army’s (LNA) General Khalifa Haftar.

Erdoğan is using his influence over the Muslim Brotherhood regime in Tripoli, Libya to make an absurd interpretation of the International Maritime Law and steal the Greek maritime space.

As a result, Greek officials have said that the UAE is sending warplanes to the Southern Greek Island of Crete for joint training with the Greek Air Force.

The UAE’s initiative in the Eastern Mediterranean, which could hopefully be the precursor of a much bigger role in the contested region, comes as a breather for Greece. Athens is facing a lot of trouble from its much bigger, better-armed and belligerent NATO ally, Turkey.

Over the past one year or so, Turkey has been claiming sovereignty in the Crete, Cyprus and southern Turkey- an area that forms a part of Greece’s Exclusive Economic Zone as per the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. However, Turkey is neither a signatory to the UNCLOS nor it abides by the International maritime law. Despite Greek objections, Ankara regularly sends research ships backed by warships into the disputed waters.

With UAE and Israel coming closer and some of the biggest powers like India, America and Saudi Arabia team up against the modern villains that include Turkey and China, new world order is shaping up. Turkey is rattled and is loathing the prospect of this new order.
