‘Hack cops to death, finish them,’ Rioters wanted to paint Bengaluru red with blood of Policemen

The horrors of Bengaluru riots that happened on Tuesday evening are still fresh while the initial investigation and FIRs have revealed that the Islamist rioters wanted to paint the ‘Garden City’ red with the blood of Policemen. According to a report in TOI, five people have been named in an FIR related to the incident. Reportedly, the aforementioned 5 people led a Guerilla like war force of 200-300 Muslims to the Police Chowki intending to kill the policemen so that rioting could go on unperturbed.

The chain reaction of violence started when an Islamic mob in Bengaluru had hit the streets near DJ Halli and KG Halli police station areas on Tuesday evening and attacked a Congress MLA’s house after one of his relatives had allegedly made a derogatory Facebook post in response to an equally derogatory post.

Delhi anti-Hindu riots: Charges framed against 25 Islamists for the murder of Head Constable Ratan Lal

While the rampage continued around the MLAs house, other Muslims of the area took the onus upon themselves to neutralize the threat of the police.

The situation took an ugly turn as two separate Muslim mobs, evoking some false sense of solidarity with their blood-thirsty brothers, gathered in front of the KG Halli and DJ Halli police stations. The Muslim mobs locked the gates from outside and pelted stones at the police station.

The FIR states that these Islamists who were armed with machetes, stones, rods, and other weapons allegedly raised slogans of “kill the cops and finish them”

The fact that the riots in Bengaluru were a planned affair can be gauged from the fact that the police FIR mentions that the riots began only after a small meeting of local Muslim community members. The agenda of the meeting was to discuss the derogatory Facebook post by Naveen- a relative of a local Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivas Murthy.

As per the Police officers, streetlights were damaged and at several places they had to negotiate roadblocks in the dark. Vehicles that rioters had damaged or set on fire were pushed to the middle of the road to stop the cops.

“Accompanied by 75 police officials, I had to walk through small lanes of KG Halli. Even as we were walking, stones were first hurled at streetlights, plunging the entire area into darkness.  The next moment, flower pots, stones of all sizes, bottles, tires, wooden logs, and bricks started raining on us. Our personnel’s protective shields broke and my men were injured. That is when we ordered firing in the air,” told Kamal Kant, Police Commissioner, Bengaluru.

Links between the Northeast Delhi pogrom the Bengaluru pogrom

Just the way Northeast Delhi riots were a pogrom, designed to annihilate and massacre the Hindus, the Bangalore riots were planned on a similar trajectory. Delhi had lost its Ratan Lal then, but, fortunately, Bengaluru cops were saved by some divine intervention; although, 70 cops were still injured with the majority of them in the hospitals.

Videos of helpless police officers crying and requesting their senior officers to permit them to fire at the approaching bloodthirsty Islamist mobs in self-defence had gone viral at the time and it showed how the police has its hands tied behind the back when it comes to tackling situations as such.

Reported by TFI earlier, mobs such as the one in Bengaluru only want the ‘blood of Police officers’ who most of the time just carry a dilapidated police danda in their hand to protect themselves from all kinds of savagery weapons these frenzied mobs use to inflict the maximum damage.

Rioters in the Northeast Delhi riots which happened in February-March had also employed the use of petrol bombs, rocks, and other weapons to create unrest in the country. The likes of Tahir Shah, Umar Khalid, and Professor Apoorvanand had carefully orchestrated every single step of these riots.

The perpetrators at that time had also caused devastating damages to the police personnel and the machinery. Mobsters like Shahrukh Khan had then openly wielded guns. This fearlessness was the reason that police constable Ratan Lal had to lose his life. The incessant pelting of stones was the reason Ratan Lal succumbed to his head injuries.

The initial FIR of the Bengaluru riots has shown the truth behind the attacks that it wasn’t some unorganized mob gone wild; it was a carefully orchestrated, minutely planned terrorist activity, designed to take the lives of police officers. If the government still doesn’t wake up from its deep slumber and give police the authority to shoot on sight when such riots are in their infancy then it will be only encouraging such more pogroms in the future.
