Hindi daily, Amar Ujala has come into limelight for some reasons that cannot be described as desirable. This is all the more significant because the newspaper report that has come under spotlight relates directly to Prime Minister Modi.
Amar Ujala published a report about the Ayodhya-Ram Janmabhoomi temple. The report claimed that Prime Minister Modi wants to make Ayodhya a centre of the traditional Indian doctrine- Sarva Dharma Sama Bhava, a Hindu concept that underscores the equality of the path propagated by all religions.
The Hindi daily claimed that there is a plan to develop religious places of different faiths such as Jainism, Buddhism, Islam and Sikhism along with the Sanatan Dharma in order to make the ancient city a world-famous tourism centre.
The Amar Ujala report further claimed that Prime Minister Modi claimed that according to retired IAS officer and former Principal Secretary to PM Modi, Nripendra Misra said that PM Modi would also overlook the scheme for development of the 70 acres complex.
Amar Ujala added that the Prime Minister’s most important message is that Ayodhya should emerge as the world’s oldest and biggest representative of the ‘Sarva Dharma Sama Bhava’ doctrine.
The Hindi daily has also claimed that the Culture Ministry has also prepared a report. Shedding light on the significance of Ayodhya for different religions, Amar Ujala claimed that the first Sikh Guru Nanak, ninth Guru Tegh Bahadur and tenth Guru Govind Singh meditated at the Gurdwara Brahmakund in the ancient city.
The Hindi daily also claimed that Muslims consider Ayodhya to be a shrine of the Prophet, Hazrat Noah and several Sufis.
However, the pluralistic spin being given to Ayodhya has been busted by Vikas Bhadauria, an ABP News journalist. Bhadauria tweeted, “Only Ram temple will be constructed in Ayodhya. PM Modi doesn’t intend to build a ‘Sarva Dharma Sama Bhava’ centre.” Bhadauria suggested that Nripendra Misra has refuted such reports, and added, “some newspapers had published such reports, but Misra has made it clear that reports quoting him are false.”
pic.twitter.com/BOSttD7A1E— Vikas Bhadauria (@vikasbha) July 18, 2020
