Many in India have been particularly elated at PM Modi and his government’s supposed ‘failure’ to prevent what are being called Chinese ‘occupations’ of Indian territory. There has been a consistent campaign which has been mounted eversince the standoff between the two countries was first reported, to undermine PM Modi’s leadership, and also the Indian state’s ‘helplessness’ when it comes to dealing with China. However, all such fallacious and motivated campaigns have been reduced to dust in the recent days gone by.
The left-liberal lunatics of India, being the sadists that they are, were not as much moved by the death of 20 Indian Army bravehearts, as they were by the prospect of being given yet another humongous chance to pounce upon the government and its ‘failure’ to protect Indian sovereignty. Much has been said about China ‘intruding’ into what is Indian territory, and the opposition has hinged all its fractured arguments on the motivated observations of people like Ajai Shukla, who for the past one month, have been indulging in incessant publicity stunts to be recognized and validated as ‘defence analysts’.
The liberals of India, for reasons best known to them, were willing to accept China’s version of the sequence of events, rather than believing what the Indian side had to say. This is the reason why a certain fact checking website decided to do a piece explaining how Indian media’s claims, based on sources, of 43 Chinese fatalities, were in fact not true. It is for this very reason that many in India were convinced that it was the Chinese who had emerged victors in the aftermath of the June 15 clashes.
43 Chinese soldiers killed? DD News, ABP News, India TV, Rajat Sharma, Sushant Sinha, Sumit Awasthi, Major Gaurav Arya, Shehzad Poonawalla mislead on India-China border tensions. #AltNewsFactCheck | @Pooja_Chaudhuri https://t.co/JOGsFyydJc

Take for instance the curious case of Rajdeep Sardesai, who recently got himself in a heated argument with Rahul Kanwal over the government’s handling of the conflict with China. Rajdeep, undoubtedly, outshined his colleagues in the Congress, who are also relentlessly engaged in deriding the government on the issue.
A section of Indians have been particularly apprehensive about accepting the fact that the Chinese side suffered much heavier casualties on June 15. Whether this apprehension stems from an inherent inferiority complex, or whether it is driven by certain motivations is not yet clear. It took confirmation by NDTV of the killing of the Chinese CO for these specimens to shut their mouths. ANI had reported the same earlier, but ANI is considered a part of the ‘pliable media’ gang of India, while NDTV is the repository of all journalistic ethos.

At the heart of their unwillingness to accept the defeat of Chinese at the LAC, lies their inherent sense of hatred towards India. The violent clashes between the armies of the two countries became a stepping stone for all anti-Modi maniacs to unleash their madness on social media, and Twitter was soon filled with tweets under hashtags like #ChinaComesModiRuns, #ChinaComesIndiaRuns, #SurenderModi, #ModiBetrayedIndia, etc. A look at the tweets under these trends would prove beyond doubt where the loyalties of a section of Indians lie. These hashtags have now fallen silent.
Ever since the sequence of events were comprehensively reported by Shiv Aroor of India Today, the anti-India lobby has fallen silent. Aroor had explained in great detail all that unfolded on the fateful night, and also the fact that Indian army went across the LAC, into what China considers its own territory, to burn and destroy a Chinese observation post. It is this act which led to violent clashes and deaths, and not some alleged occupation of Indian territory at the Galwan valley by the Chinese.
National Herald, the Congress party mouthpiece, carried a story titled, “Has Modi ceded Galwan Valley to China, wonder defence experts on Twitter,” on June 20. On expected lines, the piece overflows with anti-Modi, and pro-Congress propaganda.
The fight has always been of narratives. The people unwilling to come to terms with the fact that China suffered more casualties than India are the same people who were spinning unsubstantiated claims of thousands of Chinese soldiers occupying Indian territory. These were all empty narratives which were spun, backed with no evidence. Ideally, when one wishes to spin a particular narrative, they must have with them solid facts which can substantiate their claims. The lobby of Chinese apologists in India, had none.
In fact, these people are seasonal apologists. Most of the time, they are sympathetic towards Pakistan and its proxies within India, and now that we are embroiled in a conflict with China, all such individuals have turned Chinese doves. Yet, as always, their attempts at shaming India and claiming defeat of our great nation at the hands of the Chinese PLA have all fallen flat on their face. While this motivated section of Indians was always driven purely by rhetoric, the majority had unquestionable facts backing them. As a result, the only man who is still talking unsubstantiated nonsense on social media, is Rahul Gandhi.
