On March 16, when it became clear that Coronavirus is going to halt the world for the next few months, WHO Director General Tedros gave a mantra to defeat Coronavirus and that was– “We have a simple message for all countries: test, test, test.”
On March 17, China Daily, a newspaper owned by the Chinese Communist Party did a story titled: Chinese testing kit exports soar as COVID-19 spreads. The story, written by Liu Zhihua, has a very celebratory tone, and argued that Chinese manufacturing giants have the capability to meet the global demand and the country is set to export the kits in large numbers.
“Chinese companies are well prepared to produce testing kits for overseas markets, thanks to their leading manufacturing capabilities,” the story quoted a medical consultant Shi Lichen.
When the WHO Director General told the countries to focus on testing, more than 10 Chinese companies were already approved by the Communist government to manufacture testing kits on a mass scale.
Is it a mere coincidence that the Chinese companies already ramped up manufacturing when the WHO chief suggested the countries to test every suspect? Or, the WHO chief was being used by China to sell the Chinese kits around the world?
The link of the story by China Daily, the mouthpiece of Communist party and the most popular newspaper in Mainland China, is given below. Once you read the story, it becomes clear that the Chinese manufacturers had the idea that the world was going to purchase their testing kits and they prepared for supplies very early on.

The celebratory tone of the article also suggests that the Chinese companies, and the government, are happier with the massive demand of kits than the damage caused by Coronavirus in the countries around the world including China.
If this news is not enough to make you believe that WHO chief advised the countries to test more on the direction of Chinese government, read The Economist story published on March 14 under the title: Chinese companies rush to produce anti-covid kit. The story argued that “Makers of booze, cars, nappies and spacecraft are retooling to fight the epidemic,” and all of them are diverting their capacities to manufacture anti-body testing kits and Personal Protective Equipments. Here is the link to the story:

Xinhua, the only news agency in China, which too is owned and controlled by the Chinese government also did a story
On March 20 Xinhua did a story about approval of kits and wrote, “12 types of nucleic acid testing kits and eight types of antibody testing kits for COVID-19 have gained approval for clinical use.”
All these stories take us to a common conclusion- Chinese government and Chinese companies were aware that Coronavirus would spread in the world on such a large scale, and with WHO chief as their puppet, they took the advantage of situation to sell their products. They already ramped up the production of the tools to be used in fight against Coronavirus, and directed the WHO chief to help in sales by advising use of these products.
China was in such a hurry to produce kits that in a few weeks it was supplying millions of anti-body testing kits to countries like Spain, Czech Republic, Slovakia, United Kingdom and many other countries. These kits were manufactured without any technical precision due to hurry and therefore, majority of these kits turned out to be faulty. Most of the countries including the UK, which was solely dependent on 4 million Chinese anti-body kits to ramp up testing, found them ineffective.
“Sadly, the tests we have looked at to date have not performed well,” said John Bell, a professor of medicine at Oxford and adviser to the government on life sciences. Many European countries including Spain, Turkey have returned the Chinese kits and trying to recover the cost from companies.
India too has ordered lakhs of Chinese kits from many companies. But at the same time Indian government has approved many Indian companies to manufacture these kits and ordered few lakhs from the United States too.
Testing is, obviously, necessary in fight against Coronavirus. But the first stage should be ‘isolation isolation isolation’ as suggested by Indian council of Medical Research and done by Indian government. Given the fact there are many asymptomatic patients and many patients who were found negative are being tested positive after a few days, focusing on only testing and no isolation is stupid strategy.
WHO chief might have aimed to multiple testing kits being used on single patients with isolation, and that is why he suggested against isolation as well as mask for those not tested positive, a very counter-intuitive advice. Given the fact China is largest manufacturer of testing kits; it is obvious that the country is going to benefit most from multiple testing.
Therefore, WHO has not only been criminally incompetent, but also ‘corrupt’ is whole fight against Corona virus. The organization has claimed more lives in the Corona episode than it saved it its entire existence.
