After creating the biggest Pandemic in the world in a long time, Beijing has now kicked off a massive PR exercise, in collusion with international institutions like the WHO, to escape taking blame for creating the novel infection and then hiding crucial data that could have helped the rest of the world in the fight against Coronavirus.
As part of its PR exercise, the Communist Party of China (CCP) mouthpiece Global Times has ironically accused India of committing police brutalities upon her citizens.
The mouthpiece tweeted, “India police were seen busy waving rattan to alert those who slinkingly come outside during the prevailing lockdown. Under similar circumstances, China using drones to help spread awareness is seen as a better way.”

China accusing India of human rights violations and police brutalities is the proverbial pot calling the kettle black. And Global Times is rightly facing a lot of flak for its propagandist tweet.
There have been videos, disturbing ones, of Chinese security officials overpowering patients and asssaulting them brutally. Not just this, there have even been some disturbing videos of Chinese authorities, supposedly medical workers, forcing entire families into quarantine centres. Nonetheless, people took to Twitter to slam Global Times for peddling its nefarious agenda.
Says the paper whose country has given the world this problem. Such hypocrites 😏😏😏

Chinese officials welded gates of houses so that people can't leave. You should definitely not be lecturing here. pic.twitter.com/YCOhNIB4tm

Anyone who appeared “sick” to the Chinese authorities that were “using drones”, was stuffed into Wuhan’s Fangcang Hospital that was supposedly built in a few days to cater to individuals manifesting mild to moderate symptoms are also disturbing. The patients were kept in complete lack of isolation and medical equipment, as China decided to sacrifice the sick (and not just confirmed Coronavirus victims) to fight the epidemic.

And then the Chinese authorities also “used drones” to great advantage when it came to dealing with the Chinese doctor Li Wenliang, a whistleblower who first tried to warn about the Coronavirus and sadly succumbed to the virus after treating the patients of the virus. His voice was muzzled by the Chinese authorities and as China erupted in grief and anger, the state-run media squarely pinned the blame on local authorities.
The Chinese authorities also dealt adroitly with two Chinese journalists, Chen Quishi and Fang Bin mysteriously disappeared. Their crime: exposing the real face of the Chinese government as they exposed its inability to tackle the virus at its epicentre in Wuhan.
It is unabashedness of the highest order that China should take a dig at India, over how the latter is handling the Pandemic. China has, in fact, no business to comment upon how any country should deal with the virus which originated in its unsanitary wet markets in the first place.
Moreover, in its irresistible urge to take sadistic pleasure out of India’s lockdown that had to be enforced in the first place because of China’s misadventures, the Global Times might have ended up spilling the beans over its inhuman management of Coronavirus epidemic.
The mouthpiece claims that authorities used drones, and given the kind of AI powered, lethal combat drones that China possesses, you never know the level to which China could have gone in its attempts to record zero new Coronavirus virus and kickstart its economy once again.
