At a time when the nation is paying homage to the 40 CRPF soldiers who had given the supreme sacrifice last year during a fidayeen attack on the force’s convoy in Jammu & Kahsmir’s Pulwama on this day last year, Rahul Gandhi has yet again insulted the martyrdom of the martyred soldiers with a tweet that unabashedly tries to politicise their sacrifice.
The Gandhi scion tweeted, “Today as we remember our 40 CRPF martyrs in the #PulwamaAttack , let us ask:
- Who benefitted the most from the attack?
- What is the outcome of the inquiry into the attack?
- Who in the BJP Govt has yet been held accountable for the security lapses that allowed the attack?”

While the entire nation mourns the loss of bravehearts one year ago and stands in solidarity with their bereaved families, Rahul Gandhi seems more worried about the political implications of the attack.
Rahul Gandhi still wonders “who benefitted the most from the attack”, as he seems to subscribe to the bizarre theories of the attack being an insider job. The Gandhi scion is too insensitive and apathetic to even believe that terror attacks could have even “benefitted” anyone.
The terror attack had only led to loss of soldiers’ lives. It didn’t benefit anyone. And if terror attacks are actually the yardstick of drawing political benefits, then the Congress itself has a lot to answer given the track record of the UPA era.
The Pulwama terror attack had caused outrage not only within India, but across the world. It ultimately led to the blacklisting of Maulana Masood Azhar, the chief of Jaish-e-Mohammed, the Pakistani terror organisation that had orchestrated the dastardly terror attack.
However, the Congress leader is still trying to question the Government of India and even the security forces. His tweet is not naive, but manipulative and twisted.
He is referring to the security lapses that “allowed” the attack to took place. Language that seems deliberately suggestive of how there might have been complicity from India’s side in the dastardly attack.
In fact, Gandhi’s filthy and insensitive remarks are largely in line with Congress’ unconscionable approach towards the Pulwama terror attacks.
Even when there was a spike in Indo-Pak tensions following the Pulwama attack last year, 21 opposition parties had held a meeting in which Rahul Gandhi went on to say, “National security must transcend narrow political considerations. The leader observed that the Prime Minister has regrettably not convened an-all party meeting as the established practice in our democracy.” Later, Pakistan had found appropriate fodder in the bizarre statements made by the opposition and went on to quote them in its efforts to tarnish India’s image.
Recently, Congress leader, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury had raised doubts as to who were the “real culprits” behind the Pulwama attack.
Now question will certainly be arisen as to who were the real culprits behind the gruesome Pulwama incident, need a fresh look on it.

It has been one year since the gruesome terror attack on the CRPF convoy in Pulwama, but the Congress continues to indulge in petty politics over the terror attack shamelessly.
