BJP’s youngest Member of Parliament, Tejasvi Surya, recently exposed how the ongoing Shaheen Bagh protests were a matter of concern while participating in a debate on the Motion of Thanks on the President’s address in the Lower House of the Parliament. The 29-year-old MP said, “What is happening today in Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh is a stark reminder that if the majority of this country is not vigilant, the patriotic Indians do not stand up to this, the days of Mughal Raj coming back to Delhi are not far away.”

Surya’s remark obviously came as telling blow to the Lutyens’ elites, whose lives have revolved around singing paeans for the Mughals. One of such elites, Faye D’Souza seems to have gotten enraged by Surya’s remarks.
She tweeted, “Which school did this young man (Tejasvi Surya) go to? His civics and history teachers should please stand up and take responsibility for this travesty.”

With this, she had really set herself up for a witty, humiliating retort from Surya, who replied, “I studied the same Marxist history that even you studied in school. The only difference is I didn’t stop there. I studied history written by RC Majumdar, Sita Ram Goel and other doyens who weren’t court historians of Gandhi dynasty. I strongly recommend you read them too.”

In fact, the 29-year-old MP had a befitting reply for all those who objected to his comments about Mughal rule. He tweeted, “Self-certified liberals are really upset that I said Mughal Raj may return if we aren’t vigilant. They say it’s fear-mongering. But they are same people who say Akbar was Great, Jahangir was Just & Aurangzeb was Secular. If Mughals were so good, how is it fear-mongering?”

Tejasvi’s tweet really brings to light that certain eminent historians and their elitist followers like Faye D’Souza, who project the Mughals as the most legendary and benevolent if rulers to have ever reigned in India, also know and understand what the Mughal rule really means and stands for.
This is why they also see a return to the Mughal era as fear-mongering. Despite all their affinity for the Mughals, Faye D’Souza and her ilk didn’t really push for a return to the dreaded era.
With this, Surya has proved that he really is indeed one of the tallest youth leaders of India. Groomed by the inspirational BJP leader, late Union Minister Ananthkumar, Tejasvi Surya is fast turning into a true youth icon.
It is no longer a secret that our school learning has been largely influenced (read ‘adulterated’) by the Marxist historians, but it is young leaders like Surya, who have not only challenged but have also effectively checked the leftist stronghold on the young minds of the country.
This young lawyer, who represents the Bangalore South Lok Sabha constituency is already turning out to be a strong, influential leader- one who inspires an entire generation of youngsters who have grown up amid peaking westernization and a systematic process of ideological deracination engendered by Marxist historians throughout their history lessons at school levels when their minds were largely impressionable.
In this sense, Tejasvi Surya is the youth icon that India was searching for. One who stands in the way of leftist historians’ attempts to disillusion and mislead the Indian youth.
