Amulya Leona, who made it to headlines for raising ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans yesterday at Owaisi’s Bangalore rally against the Citizenship Amendment Act, has been disowned by her father over her insensible, shocking misdemeanour.
Her father, Vojald, who lives in Koppa in Chickmagalur district has expressed shock over her conduct. Deeply anguished by her behaviour, he has said, “Let my daughter rot in a jail. Let the police break her legs. I have no objection. She has caused so much misery to my family”.
In the video of the shameful incident that had gone viral, she could be seen chanting “Pakistan Zindabad (Long Live Pakistan) slogan at the anti-CAA rally. In fact, she kept chanting until the police took cognisance of the matter and removed her from the dais.

She has now been booked for sedition by the Karnataka Police under Section 124A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.
The 19-year old girl had been advised by her father not to indulge in such objectionable behaviour in the past too. However, in spite of her father’s request not to speak like that Amulya seems to have persisted with such behaviour.
According to what the news reports have stated about her, it seems that she thought of herself as some “revolutionary” and therefore won’t listen to anyone, including her father.
What shows the sheer amount of deracination in her mind is a Facebook post that she wrote a few days ago, wherein she claimed that there is nothing wrong in shouting such slogans (Pakistan Zindabad) as she likes every country in the World (including those that foment terrorism against India).
Visuals of Amulya enthusiastically hailing Pakistan have been splashing on television screens, social media and newspapers, and her father who has been naturally shaken by the sharp turn of events seems totally disenchanted with his daughter. He has even said that he won’t defend Amulya in the Court as she has gone against his wishes.
Amulya’s case is one of an overconfident teen getting impressed with the sheer anti-India and pro-Pakistan sentiment and narrative that goes around. Thinking too much of herself, she clearly distrusted the wisdom of those around her.
Today, she is in the limelight for all the wrong reasons, and her father, who advised her against such imprudence has no option but to virtually disown her.
