Self declared comedian Kunal Kamra was found heckling and abusing popular journalist Arnab Goswami on board an Indigo airlines flight bound from Mumbai to Lucknow. Following the announcement by Indigo to suspend him from flying on board their flights for a period of six months, airlines like Air India and Spice Jet also followed suit, suspending Kunal Kamra from flying on board their respective flights until further notice. However, it seems that the humiliation of this rabid Modi hater was not done yet.
A series of parody accounts had a field day on Twitter, trolling Kamra left, right and centre. From bus unions to something as odd as All India Sulabh Shauchalay Union, everybody ‘banned’ Kunal Kamra from using their services, making the netizens burst out laughing.
For those unaware, Kunal Kamra had recently uploaded a video of himself on his Twitter account, where he was seen heckling and yelling at Arnab Goswami, who was calmly sitting on his seat, with his earphones on. Kunal claimed that he did this in tribute to Rohith Vemula, a leftist student whose suicide in 2015 had created a political storm. To quote Kunal’s own tweet, “I did this for my hero… I did it for Rohit” –

However, this move backfired severely as he was put unofficially in the ‘No Fly List’. Beginning with Indigo, who suspended Kunal for six months, Kunal was barred from boarding the flights of Spice Jet, Air India and Go Air as of now. Following this announcement, parody accounts decided to roast Kunal Kamra in their own sweet way.
It all began with the tweet of All India Sulabh Shauchalay Union, who had tweeted, “In view of the incident onboard #IndiGo6E, We wish to inform that conduct of person concerned is unacceptable. With a view to discourage such behavior onboard our premises, Kamra is suspended from going into any Sulabh Shauchalay until further notice” –

This was followed by a tweet from a handle titled All India Dental Association, who tweeted, “In view of the incident onboard @IndiGo6E, AIDA wishes to inform that the conduct of person concerned is unacceptable. Keeping in mind security of dentist & patients across India, Kunal Kamra is barred from taking any dental facilities across the country until further notice” –

One parody account, titled Footpath Sleepers Association of India, gave it a ‘Bhai’ twist as they tweeted, “We regret to inform you that you that you shall not be permitted to pass through Mumbai until further notice. This is a precautionary measure as we do not want history to repeat itself and endanger the lives of our association members. #Kunalkarma #ArnabGoswami #Bhai” –

This was cue to a host of parody accounts, ranging from Chhappal Stand Association to Panipuri Thelas Association trolling Kunal Kamra by banning him from using their services, as shown below –

However, some of the liberal journalists, whose sense of humor is conspicuous by its absence, took offence at these tweets, believing these tweets to be literally real. Kunal Kamra has paid for his own follies by being banned from airlines for his unprofessional conduct. He is no ‘national hero’ as being purported by some political spokespersons, nor is he some revolutionary who has staged an uprising against a tyrannical government or Empire. He is simply a third rate crook who should be addressed as such.
