The Leader of Opposition, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, MP from West Bengal’s 24 North Pargana’s constituency has finally admitted that he is a Pakistani, not that we ever doubted where the man’s allegiances rested. Perhaps realizing that he was not hitting the headlines these days as often he should, Chowdhury has once again emerged, this time, with a more controversial statement than a mere tweet.
On Tuesday, after senior J&K cop was nabbed along with terrorists, Adhir Ranjan had tweeted the following:
Had #DavindarSingh by default been Davindar khan ,the reaction of troll regiment of RSS would have been more strident and vociferous. Enemies of our country ought to be condemned irrespective of Colour, Creed, and Religion.

Now question will certainly be arisen as to who were the real culprits behind the gruesome Pulwama incident, need a fresh look on it.

Not only is the man insinuating a supposed response from ‘troll army’, but he is also seen alleging that Pakistan was not behind the Pulwama terrorist attack, hence suggesting that it was an insider job. Further, he is blatantly communalising the incident by turning the country against Sikhs (well, that’s not new in the Congress). Following such insane comments, when the BJP and others hammered the man, he today admits to being a Pakistani.
Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury’s comments have always landed the Congress in controversies it would have otherwise easily avoided. However, the man must this time be appreciated for being honest with the country and telling us the truth about his nationality and allegiances. In August last year, during the historic discussion on abrogation of Article 370, the same Pakistani had said that the ‘Kashmir dispute’ required international intervention and that the government had no business taking unilateral decisions with respect to Jammu and Kashmir. Only recently, Adhir Ranjan also called PM Modi and Amit Shah ‘ghuspetiye’ or infiltrators to Delhi. During his inaugural speech at the motion of thanks to the President’s address, when Pratap Chandra Sarangi objected to his absurd logic, saying, “At least we didn’t hold this notion like you that India is Indira and Indira is India,” it was at this moment that AdhirRanjan Chowdhury mentioned, “Kahan Maa Ganga aur Kahan Gandi Naali” (How can Mother Ganga be compared with a dirty drain, basically comparing Indira Gandhi’s legacy with that of Narendra Modi). Such statements have time and again proved his Pakistani credentials.
Statements of Chowdhury have continuously put even the Congress to shame, as even by their low standards, his comments are a different ballgame altogether. Now that Chowdhury has admitted to being a Pakistani, will the Congress sack him, and more importantly, will he be deported back to his country of liking as soon as possible by the government? Will Imran Khan Niazi offer him a cabinet berth once he is shipped back to Pakistan?
The man is scripting Congress’ irreversible downfall in Indian politics. Come to think of it, that’s just the price the grand old party is paying for having a Pakistani amongst them all this while.
