The anti-CAA protests gave the opposition parties a perfect platform to practice minority appeasement and almost every opposition party almost like vultures, blindly lent their support to the protesters and the rioters alike so as to secure their minority vote bank. There have been greatly polarising statements from the opposition camp and BJP’s Sambit Patra has taken them to the cleaners in a press conference as he dubbed the Indian National Congress as Muslim League Congress.
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra in a press conference claimed that the leaders of these parties have used the ongoing protests against the amended citizenship law to “abuse” Hindus. This comes in the aftermath of senior Congress leader and ex-Maharashtra CM Ashok Chavan who in a public meeting said that the grand old party decided to join hands with the Shiv Sena as Muslims wanted the INC to form an alliance with ideologically opposite SS to stop the BJP from coming to power. To this statement, Patra hit back by claiming that it shows the opposition party has nothing to do with people belonging to other religions, including Hindus.
Hardly there is any day that goes without Congress leaders taunting the RSS for their ‘non-participation’ in the Independence struggle as they seem to have been caught in the past. Patra minced no words when Congress leader Kharge again brought up the issue of India’s Independence struggle as he hit back by asking Kharge if parents of Sonia Gandhi, who is of Italian origin, had fought in India’s independence struggle. The Indian National Congress, he said referring to the opposition party’s full name, should be called “Muslim League Congress”.
Patra then moved to take on NCP’s Jitendra Awhad who is also the current Cabinet Minister of Housing in the Maha Vikas Aghadi government who earlier this moth insulted the Hindus as he claimed, “I want to ask the Hindu brothers who are sitting here, where was the funeral of your ancestors? Muslims can tell where their ancestors’ graves are.” Patra said that such a statement is demeaning and questioned the type of politics that Awhad is practising.
The Owaisi brothers who run their party by practising politics of hatred have seen many leaders afraid to criticise them due to the open threats especially by the younger Owaisi, Akbaruddin. Patra slammed Akbaruddin and claimed that he is in the competition of becoming the new Jinnah of India and completely obliterated his statement that Muslims ruled India for over 800 years and made the nation what is today. Patra pointed out how the Muslim invaders had emptied India’s coffers in the past.

Patra then moved on to ask what is the fault of Hindus, Sikhs, Isai and brought in ex-PM Manmohan Singh’s statement where he said that Muslims have the first right on India’s resources. The events that took place in the press conference are likely to go down in the history books as Patra explained the chronology of Congress’ bias against the Hindus.
In a savage move, Patra then went on to hit out at the Gandhi scion, where he showed proof that on 11th July, 2018 Rahul Gandhi said that Congress is a party for Muslims as Patra showed the newspaper cutting of ‘Inquilab Zindabad’. Patra then moved to Congress leader Khan who on 9th July, 2018 said that in India’s every district, Sharia should be implemented. Patra then pointed out the incident of Youth Congress workers killing a cow in Kerala on 17th May, 2017 and how they displayed the butchered cow publicly as if insulting the Hindus. He then moved to point out how during Rahul’s visit to JNU there were slogans of ‘Afzal hum sharminda hai, there kaatil abhi bhai Zinda hai’.
In an ultimate insult to the Hindus, Congress’s Kapil Sibal arguing in the Supreme Court on 16th May, 2017 compared Bhagwan Ram to Triple Talaq and Halala. Patra then hit out at ex-Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah who during his tenure refused to investigate the deaths of 20 RSS workers. After pointing out the links between Zakir Nair and the Congress, Patra said that the Indian National Congress, should be called “Muslim League Congress”.
In just one press conference, Sambit Patra has completely obliterated the INC and their minority appeasement politics and exposed the party’s blatant anti-Hindu agenda.
