The protests at Shaheen Bagh have taken an interesting turn for now. A couple of days ago, a man was seen brandishing a pistol at the protests site, allegedly asking the protesters to vacate the road or ‘get ready to die’ –

The protester was however, overpowered and driven off. No sooner had the video gone viral on social media than the agenda peddlers set themselves to task. NDTV journalist Sreenivasan Jain, infamous for his propaganda journalism, tried to blame BJP MP Anurag Thakur for the same as he indirectly tweeted, “A minister leads chants of ‘goli maaro saalon ko’. The next day, men with guns turn up at Shaheen Bagh. Hate speech has consequences.” –

For those unaware, Anurag Thakur was subjected to criticism after he allegedly exhorted a crowd to shoot down the traitors. Anurag Thakur had allegedly chanted ‘Desh ke Gaddaron Ko’ (Whoever betrays our nation), to which the crowd replied to ‘Goli Maaro S****n Ko!’ (Shoot down those b******s). However, in his enthusiasm to nail Anurag Thakur, Sreenivasan Jain once again spread white lies. Only a few weeks ago, when the attacks on Nankana Sahib in Pakistan had infuriated the entire India, Sreenivasan Jain went on to claim that such attacks would deviate the attention from the ‘anti CAA protests against the Central Government’ –
Terrible news. Let’s hope it’s not used for pro-CAA propaganda. The CAA cutoff is 2014, and so of little use to minorities presently in Pakistan or the other notified countries. https://t.co/ZGhbvg9xNF

However, the propaganda was soon busted by Times Now before it could even take off. The man, whose name is Mohammad Luqman Chaudhary, is a real estate agent who resides in the same location as the site of protests, in the Abul Fazal Enclave. Interestingly, Mohammad Luqman Chaudhary brandished the pistol minutes after AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan had left the site, exhorting the protesters to open a section of the area for allowing the traffic to pass through.
Moreover, there’s a new twist to the tale. To quote a tweet posted by Times Now, “Twist to the Shaheen Bagh protest. A man with a gun was apprehended at the protest site. The gunman has reportedly been found linked to an AAP leader & the leader has denied the link.” –

This is not all. Mohammad even claimed that he is related to the area councilor from AAP, Abdul Majid Khan. However, Abdul refuted the claims and denied any association with the man, claiming that Mohammad just owns a shop in the area and has no association with him or the party. To quote the councilor, “He has got nothing to do with me or the party. He went to the protest site on his own and created the ruckus.” Later on, former MLA from Okhla Asif Muhammad Khan registered a case against Mohammad Luqman Chaudhary.
Shaheen Bagh was initially portrayed as a peaceful, democratic protest against the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act. However, the more media covered the protest, the more it reality stood exposed to one and all. An organic protest that began in a bid to ‘save the constitution’ soon turned into a blatantly communal event. The icing on the cake was done by people like Sharjeel Imam, who openly declared that it was essential for Assam and other states of the Northeast to be ‘cut from India’ in order to force Central Government to roll back CAA.
To be honest, the protests at Shaheen Bagh have been exposed time and again for their hypocritical nature, and their contemptuous attitude towards the Sanatan community. People like Sharjeel Imam have only revealed the deep hatred such people had towards our nation, and now they’re trying every trick in their hand in order to stay relevant, even if it means spreading white lies at the drop of the hat.
