The Indian National Congress is planning to bring the entire nation to a standstill over the Citizenship (Amendment) Act. Their agenda to burn the nation over the CAA has found no takers which were evident from Priyanka Gandhi’s farcical protest in front of India Gate. The crowd was wafer thin but the presence of one man laid bare Congress’ true intentions. Jagdish Tytler, the prime accused of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots was present in the protest ironically to show his solidarity towards the rioters.
The Jamia protest against the CAA soon took a violent turn as some miscreants decided to damage public property. The reports coming from Intelligence agencies point to the hand of banned Islamic organisations SIMI and PFI in the protests. The INC looked to score some brownie points and hence, parachuted Priyanka Gandhi Vadra – the heir apparent of Indira Gandhi’s legacy to stand in solidarity with the Jamia students. The crowd was non-existent and in a video which has now gone viral, Congress leader Sushmita Deb can be heard saying on the phone ‘where are our leaders?’.
Listen to the Congress phone call after seeing less crowd at India Gate for Priyanka Gandhi's nautanki.

It seems that the Congress leadership is so desperate that they allowed Jagdish Tytler to join the protest thus making a mockery of the entire protest. Priyanka Gandhi had no qualms in sharing space with the prime accused of the 1984 Anti-Sikh riots nor did she ask him to leave the protest. The Indian National Congress had one job and it failed terribly at it too.
Congress leaders have been opposed to the CAB right from the beginning with the Gandhi scion making provocative statements. Rahul tweeted, “The CAB is an attempt by Modi-Shah Govt to ethnically cleanse the North East. It is a criminal attack on the North East, their way of life and the idea of India. I stand in solidarity with the people of the North East and am at their service.”
Notice how casually the man puts to use the word ‘ethnic cleansing’. This is nothing but a desperate attempt by the Congress leader to fan sentiments in the Northeast by uttering absolute falsehoods. Already the region is facing violent protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act. Rahul Gandhi’s tweet goes on to validate the violence taking place on the streets, as the protesters will be encouraged by this tweet of an important national leader. However, as a national leader, this is a completely irresponsible statement coming from Rahul Gandhi.
The Citizenship Amendment Act intends to give citizenship to the oppressed Sikhs along with other minorities from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh who have been persecuted and have nowhere else to go except India. The presence of Jagdish Tytler at the protest ladies bare Congress’ true intentions.
For the uninitiated, Tytler has been accused of having killed 100 Sikhs in 1984 riots and he was caught confessing about his heinous crimes in a sting operation by the chairman of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), Manjit Singh GK. He has also sent multiple death threats to the primary witness of the 1984 riots Abhishek Verma to stop him from testifying against him.
The INC has already displayed their anti-Sikh stance as Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh refused to back the Citizenship Amendment Act. The Punjab Chief Minister stated, “Terming the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) as a direct assault on India’s secular character, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh today said his government would not allow the legislation to be implemented in his state.” The Punjab Chief Minister said, “The Parliament had no authority to pass a law that defiled the Constitution and violated its basic principles and fundamental rights of the people of India.”
It seems that the Indian National Congress and its leaders are only good at taking sabbaticals. They can’t even organise a protest, let alone run the nation.
