Who is Huzurnagar MLA?

Saidi Reddy Shanampudi is a MLA of Telangana assembly seat Huzurnagar. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi won Huzurnagar MLA seat in 2019. Saidi Reddy Shanampudi of Telangana Rashtra Samithi won the seat in 2019 by a margin of 43358 votes over Nalamada Padmavathi Reddy of the Indian National Congress. The Nalgonda Lok Sabha seat includes the Huzurnagar Assembly constituency.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Indian National Congress candidate Uttam Kumar Reddy Nalamada defeated Telangana Rashtra Samithi’s Vemireddy Narasimha Reddy by 25682 votes in the Nalgonda Lok Sabha (MP) Seat.

In the seat, there are a total of 2,05,605 voters, with 1,02,126 male voters and 1,03,471 female voters. Huzurnagar had an 85.96 percent voter turnout in the 2018 Telangana elections. In 2014, 81.51 percent of eligible voters cast ballots. While winning or losing one by-poll will not make a big difference to the TRS, which now has 104 MLA’s in the state assembly, the win is likely to set the tone for the upcoming municipal polls, likely to be held in November.

Saidi Reddy Shanampudi Qualifications

Sanampudi Saidi Reddy graduated with a B.Sc. degree from the Osmania Univeristy in the year 1995. He has no criminal cases to his name

The bye-election in Huzurnagar was called after sitting MLA and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy resigned after successfully contesting and winning a parliamentary seat in Nalgonda at the 2019 general elections. His wife, Padmavathi Reddy, was awarded the Congress ticket, while Saidireddy, who lost the seat by over 7,000 votes in the 2018 state elections, was handed the TRS ticket.

The overwhelming victory of Telangana Rashtriya Samithi (TRS) in the Assembly election of Huzurnagar by a record margin of 43,358 votes in Telangana was sweet as it snatched the seat from Congress, which is struggling to regain its footing after humiliating defeats in two consecutive assembly elections last December and the Lok Sabha in April. The by-election required the resignation of the President of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) N. Uttam Kuamr Reddy, who was elected as a member of parliament from Nalgonda in May.

Uttam Kumar Reddy fielded his wife and former MLA Padmavathi for the seat Huzurnagar seat and risked criticism from his opponents in the party. The EVMs started on Thursday and the battle appeared to be one-sided as TRS received 11,3005 votes while his closest opponent, Congressman Padmivathi (69,937 votes) defeated her with a margin of 43,358 votes – a record for the district. Uttam Reddy and his wife received congressional tickets, while TRS sent Saidireddy, who lost the seat by a 7,000-vote margin in the 2018 state election, into the race.

The seat of Huzurnagar parliamentary seat was left vacant by PCC chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy before his election in May 2019 to the Lok Sabha from Nalgonda parliamentary constituency. Saidi Reddy ran in the 2018 general election on a TRS ticket from the same constituency, but narrowly lost to TPCC President N. Uttam Reddy. In the 2018 congressional elections, it had its worst ever result, winning just 19 parliamentary seats, with as many as 12 MLAs defecting from the KCRS party to the TRS.

As a result, the Saffron Party snatched the seat of Dubbaka from the TRS in KCRs home district Medak and made significant gains in the recent Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections (GHMC) bringing its vote count to four out of 48 districts. Although the Congress is credited with the creation of the Telangana state, it failed to win the first elections in the state in 2014. The BJP won one seat in last December’s general election and made impressive gains by winning four Lok Sabha constituencies.

The outcome of Huzurnagar MLA Seat Assembly by-election will likely determine the political mood for foreseeable future, after the TRS suffered defeat in the Lok Sabha elections in 2019 governed by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) that won 9 of 17 parliamentary seats while the Congress won 3 and the Bharatiya Janata Party 4. Congress could no longer claim to be the main opposition party in the 2019 parliamentary elections, as the BJP won four Lok Sabha seats with a 20% share of the vote. Party leaders said the second by-election would give a much-needed boost to the ruling TRS. Meanwhile, the TDP decided to contest the Telangsana by-election under its own alliance.

Shanampudi Saidireddy became MLA of Huzurnagar Assembly constituency after defeating the Congress candidate by a record margin in the 2019 runoff. Following the rejection of the CPI (M) candidate in Telangana’s Huzurnagar, the party has suspended candidate Shekar Rao, following the party’s executive board’s refusal this week to nominate the candidate on technical grounds. The constituency will face a by-election after Uttam Kumar Reddy, the chairman of the state’s Congress, resigned as an MLA after winning the seat of Nalgonda in the 2019 general election.

The Nakrekal MLA Chirumarthi Lingaiah, the candidate of Telangana Rashtra Samithi for the Huzurnagar bypass, campaigned together with Shanampudi Saidi Reddy in several villages and seats in the Huzurnagar constituency. The speaker castigated TRS MLA Saidi Reddy and the TRS government under CM KCR and KTR ministers saying he and his party had betrayed him by neglected the constituency and making several promises during the bypass in October 2019 after winning the constituency by a large majority. As Reddy is close to Prime Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, she said that if he brings sufficient funds to the constituency, he will be appointed MLA for the constituency.

Opinion polls in the crucial election for the Huzurnagar Assembly constituency in the district of Suryapet in Telangana are conducted on Monday with the ruling TRS, Congress, TDP and BJP in a complex contest. The MP for Nalgonda said the TRS had won the constituency in 2019, but local TRS leaders had invaded thousands of hectares of land worth several hundred crore with the connivance of police officers. On October 21, the by-election for the constituency will see a multi-faceted battle with candidates from all major parties, including the TTR, Congress and TDP, as well as the BJP.

Huzurnagar is a constituency of the National Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) in the state of Telangana, which belongs to the parliamentary constituency of Nalgonda Lok Sabha. Saidi Reddy of Shanampudi (Telangana Rashtra Samithi) won by a margin of 43,358 votes over Namalada Padmavathi Reddy of the Indian National Congress for the 2019 constituency.

Huzurnagar had a turnout of 86.96 per cent in the 2018 Telangana elections. This section summarises the results of the general election since independence, including the share of the vote of the major parties, polarity and margin of victory. The Electoral Commission announced that notifications for the bypass of 64 parliamentary seats in 17 states, including the electoral district of Huzurnagars in the state of Telanganas and in the territory of the Union, would be published on 24 October.

He said further steps will be taken to discuss with the people and leaders of his Huzurnagar constituency. Rajagopal Reddy, elder brother of Komatireddy MP Venkat Reddy of the Bhongir constituency, was the frontrunner for PCC leadership post following Uttam Kumar Reddy’s resignation. He won by a record margin of 43,000 votes in the subsequent 2019 runoff, in which he was nominated.
