Call to arms, propaganda, fear mongering– Khan Market Gang is inciting Kashmiris in every possible way

In a move to further strengthen the security situation in Kashmir an additional 25000 troops were ordered to move into the state. However, as the security forces and the administration work towards safeguarding Indian national interests in the affected regions, several journalists have started their game of fear mongering.

Topping the list is the expected trio of Barkha Dutt, Rajdeep Sardesai and Sreenivasan Jain.

After the troop deployment, Rajdeep Sardesai stated, “Leave Kashmir valley at once, Govt tells tourists, Amarnath pilgrims amidst terror threat warning. Panic buttons being pressed? Guess the ‘real’ warning on the economy will now once again be lost amidst the screaming headlines!”

Sreenivasan Jain, not wanting to be left behind offered his take on the situation. “Trying to find words to describe what this government is doing in – and to – Kashmir. Reckless and cruel come to mind.”

Barkha Dutt seems to have gone berserk with a series of tweets, all questioning the Kashmir situation.

She stated, “I don’t know what the hell is happening in Kashmir but I don’t believe one bit of these crazy trifurcation rumours. No government of India would EVER do that.”

“Amarnath Yatra suspended after terror threats, massive troop deployment, rumours of article 35a gone, tourists being asked to leave the valley, all a recipe for panic in the absence of clear communication. The government needs to talk to the people. This is no longer ‘normal’.”

“Sorry but no matter what the decision,-this, a flood of circulars, flights on standby, mass evacuation plans-this is signalling crisis not readiness. Surely there is a better communication mechanism for whatever is coming in Jammu and Kashmir”

“I cannot remember a time (please correct me if I am wrong) in 25 years of reporting from Jammu and Kashmir that the Amarnath Yatra was called off. Even after the horrific terror attack on it two years ago in 2017 it continued unabated. There’s more here than we know so far”

These journalists, in their attempts to be ‘liberal’, have always taken an anti-nationalistic stance when it comes to the Kashmir issue. They have often eulogized and romanticized the terrorists, portraying the Indian army as the perpetrator of “injustice” and “assault” on the Kashmiris. In this, they have echoes the separatists’ stance and this deployment of troops is nothing less than that.

Barkha Dutt’s “neutral” reporting on Burhan Wani, the commander of Kashmiri militant group Hizbul Mujahideen comes to light. Instead of calling him out for who he was, an insurgent part of a separatist group, killed for his anti-Indian violent protests, Barkha Dutt chose to romanticize him by calling him “son of school headmaster”.

Breaking: Burhan Wani hizbul commander, son of school headmaster who used social media as weapon of war, killed in Anantag. BIG STORY

— barkha dutt (@BDUTT) July 8, 2016

If this is what Barkha Dutt means by a “neutral liberal journalist”, her vocabulary skills aren’t as good as she things them to be. Her stand seemed to be similar to Pakistan’s stand as they had treated Burhan Wani as a martyr, saluting him on their independence day by calling him a national hero.

Barkha Dutt seems to like the discontent in the valley and is keen on giving the state away to the hostile neighbor. The earliest evidence of this is when she chose to justify the brutal massacre of the Kashmiri Pundits. She stated, “Today victims, they were once the privileged elite of the valley. They may have been a minority but had monopolized government jobs, plum postings and other such social benefits. In fact, the sharp economic disparity between the pundits and the poor Muslim majority was one of the earliest reasons of discontent on the state.”

https://twitter.com/Satyanewshi/status/1061119145817731073

The shamefulness of the remark is beyond any Indian’s imagination. The way the separatists treated the minority Hindus, massacring them, abusing them and raping them was heinous and Barkha Dutt chose to justify the acts.

With these tweets, the nefarious intents of these journalists have once again come to light. They are spreading fear amongst the innocent Kashmiris, inciting hatred in them towards the Indian army when all the troops are attempting to do is provide safety and security to the citizens. By assuming certain intent behind the deployment, the journalists are creating an atmosphere of uncertainty and chaos in the valley.

These journalists don’t really care about the sentiments of the Kashmiris or what the citizens are actually going through. These tweets seem as though belonging to the separatists, the people who actually have a lot to fear with the additional troop deployment, not mere citizens whose sense of safety and security should only increase with this development.
