A stern criticiser of PM Modi and the NDA government, Rana Ayyub is known for her firm opposition and hateful statements about the BJP, NDA government and Modi. It is only seldom seen that the liberal journalist with a staunch bias against a political leader is seen admitting political realities. Rana Ayyub has finally admitted that BJP’s play in Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal is sure to help them win big in the states.
Have believed it for a while and now convinced, BJP will take upwards of 50 seats in UP, palpable saffron surge in West Bengal, not difficult for the NDA to secure a 260 plus.

Author and journalist Rana Ayyub is known for bringing the truth out with her fierce and articulate journalism. She has analysed the BJP and its been critical of its political surge. Through a recent tweet the journalist has said that it is difficult to stop the BJP from winning seats in UP and West Bengal. She also gave an estimate of 50 seats that BJP will secure easily in Uttar Pradesh while explaining that it will not be difficult for the party to win in Bengal. The journalist has further provided a number of 260 plus seats that will be achieved by the NDA coalition government after the Lok Sabha elections are done. Her prediction that BJP is going to win big is a grudging admittance of political realities.
Rana Ayyub’s hatred for BJP is no secret. She has vehemently opposed the NDA government on various issues. She has blatantly held PM Modi responsible for the 2002 Gujarat riots. The twitter army congratulated her for finally accepting the realities, and said that it is good to see that she finally “woke up” to the existing political dynamics.
Such estimations form the main stream liberal media, is a proof that they have also accepted that carrying forward the negative agendas against the BJP or the Prime Minister is worthless. These attempts apart from being mocked on media platforms will also spoil the built reputation of the liberal brigade. Subjecting oneself to realities is never a bad idea. The left liberals have sensed the atmosphere that strongly supports change and a strong government, rather than lamenting on scandals and controversies.
It is necessary to understand that people in states like Uttar Pradesh have witnessed development in the last five years. West Bengal, which is shadowed by a tyrant government has urged for a change. Though, the journalist has subtly indicated the saffron patronage as a reason of BJP winning seats, it is evident that the ground realities have been finally judged by the liberal journalist. Recently, Rajdeep Sardesai, the liberal brigade messiah, accepted the fact that PM Modi was not responsible for the 2002 Godhra riots. Well, it is said, better late than never. The liberal journalists now understand that development and true intentions cannot be challenged by projecting it in a bad light. Media ethics are built on the ideals of truth and righteousness. It is good to see that the so called liberal journalists are finally working towards achieving the virtues of the saying “truth shall prevail”.
