MNS chief Raj Thackeray, who is usually seen chanting “Modi-Mukht Bharat” is unlikely to campaign against Modi beyond the borders of Maharashtra. After his constant attacks on the BJP president Amit Shah and PM Modi, Raj was invited to host campaigns in areas beyond Maharashtra. The liberal brigade, who thought that Thackeray was their newfound messiah to boost their anti-Modi campaign, will unlikely get the invitation accepted.
#2019Elections update: Shattering the dreams of the liberal brigade, their newfound messiah Raj Thackeray has refused to campaign against the BJP outside Maharashtra.

Though Raj Thackeray did not field any candidate, he has addressed 10 rallies across the state. Despite that, he has not openly campaigned for the Congress, NCP and their allies. Owing to his hard-hitting style and use of videos to substantiate claims, Raj received invitations from the Congress, Janata Dal (Secular), Haryana Vikas Party and a couple of community organisations in Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Karnataka to address rallies.
An MNS leader Sandeep Deshpande claimed, “Raj saheb received the invitations from various parts of the country for campaigning. However, he has decided to stick with Maharashtra only. His aim was to create a ripple in Maharashtra and he was successful in his attempts.” The MNS leader, however, would not stretch his reach beyond the Maharashtra borders.
Another MNS leader who wished to be anonymous told DNA, “His speeches in Marathi are spontaneous and are impactful. However, when it comes to Hindi, he has limitations.” It is well known that Raj Thackeray has a strong hold on the Marathi language and his speeches reach out to millions in Maharashtra. However, the rising stars for the BJP rival might be handicapped when it comes to Hindi speaking audience.
Lately, the liberal brigade also saw Raj Thackeray as their knight in the shining armour. The liberal brigade did not only defend the political alliance of MNS and BJP rivals but went on virtual celebration mode. The Founding Editor of the leftist portal, The Wire, also tweeted an article from the portal which sought to argue how the dramatic change in Raj Thackeray’s avatar would act as a boost for the Congress-NCP coalition. It is shocking that the left-liberal cabal was celebrating the “new avatar” of the MNS supremo. Just because Raj Thackeray’s had entered into a tacit understanding with the Congress, the pseudo-liberals are projecting him as some sort of a hero.

Raj Thackeray has offers pouring in from those who are against the BJP in the Lok Sabha 2019 elections. The Congress, Janata Dal (Secular), Haryana Vikas Party and a couple of community organisations in Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Karnataka has invited the MNS chief to address rallies in the regions apart from Maharashtra.
To their disappointment, Raj Thackeray will not campaign elsewhere other than Maharashtra. The proposal to Thackeray shows that the BJP rivals are in dearth of good orators to deliver their agendas to people. They have no options left and are now seeking help from one part of the country to the other. It is amusing that parties like Congress, which boasts of its intellectual brigade, is now seeking help from MNS, which was its rival once upon a time in the state of Maharashtra. Mahagathbandhan, which courageously flaunts its might, does not have a voice to establish its supremacy in the elections. Meanwhile, MNS chief knows his capability and his capacity of marking his territory which does not go beyond Maharashtra.
