An article in the India Today portal spoke of Varun Gandhi leaving BJP to join Congress in January 2019. This news has been quashed by the politician himself. While addressing a rally in Pilibhit, Varun lauded the Prime Minister and his work. He has put down any doubt of his ghar wapsi. There were speculations, that Varun Gandhi would be joining the Congress party which is a party his ancestral were members of. Varun Gandhi is the grandson of the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi but he took a different turn by not joining his family reigned party. The politician chose to join the BJP instead of Congress and was inducted to be the General Secretary in Rajnath Singh’s team in 2012.
No Prime Minister brought honour to India like PM Narendra Modi, including those from my family: Varun Gandhi | #May23WithTimesNow | Click here: https://t.co/52nliFYCFl pic.twitter.com/7Eugd0xMXL

This misinformation has been declared as baseless and not true by the BJP politician who has been associated with the BJP for a good number of years. The sitting MP from Sultanpur has shunned all the news about the party rift and is happy to be in the ruling party. Varun also mentioned “Mere parivaar mein bhi kuchh log PM rahe hain lekin jo sammaan Modi ne desh ko dilaya hai, vo bahut lambe samay se kisi ne desh ko nahi dilaya…Vo aadmi keval jee raha hai desh ke liye aur vo marega desh ke liye. (Vajpayee ji was from a normal family but had never seen abject poverty. Modi ji is from an economically weaker family. Honestly speaking, some people of my family have also been Prime Minister but the honor that Prime Minister Modi has brought to the country hasn’t been seen in long past) “
The words of the politician are a clear statement to the opposition that Varun Gandhi has no intention of leaving the BJP. This puts away all the rumours of moving away from BJP. The opposition had mentioned that Varun should now join the BJP because he is being ignored by the party and its leaders. The opposition leaders even said that despite Varun being a supported choice, Yogi Adityanath was chosen as the CM candidate for UP. All these measures were taken just to prove that Varun Gandhi was to soon join Congress. This information is incorrect and Varun Gandhi is going nowhere and will stay with BJP.

The politician has been joined by his mother, Maneka Gandhi who like her son is also not party to the nepotistic family rule in Congress. She has even said that Rahul Gandhi is unfit to be a PM. The BJP politician even mentioned that she is sure about Priyanka’s presence doing no good to Congress. She said that Priyanka does not have the workers.
Varun Gandhi during his rally said that PM Modi has no agenda other than serving the country. He said that Modi is living for the nation and will also die for the nation. Varun Gandhi also said “In five years, Prime Minister Modi has not a single accusation of corruption. There are no corruption charges on him. For whom would he do corruption when he has no one else in his family?… He is only worried about the country”
Varun Gandhi has in a clear and loud message said that there is no rift in the party. While the opposition said that the BJP has ignored Varun Gandhi.
