TMC candidate from Asansol, Moon Moon Sen had hit the top Twitter trend after her ‘bed tea’ remark which she made after being questioned on the ongoing TMC led poll violence in Bengal.
Sen had claimed that she was unaware of the clashes in her constituency as she woke up late. “They gave me my bed tea very late so I woke up very late. What can I say? I really don’t know,” the actor-turned-politician was quoted as saying by NDTV.
Following that incident, Moon Moon Sen has again made bizarre comments on the same issue. On similar questions regarding poll violence in West Bengal, she said, “Little violence happens everywhere.”
She told reporters, “I have not met my seniors yet and when we sit together, I will know where and why violence took place. ‘Thoda toh hoga hi har jagah hota hai (A little violence happens everywhere). It is much less now compared to before.”
These bizarre comments are not isolated incidents in Moon Moon Sen’s conduct; during her campaigning in Asansol, she looked disgruntled when the public seemed to be uninterested in her speech.
Twitter user Soumen Chatterjee had tweeted, “Moon Moon Sen has got most attention of her life today. Watch a clip of her public speech where (a) She forgets what to speak (b) The public is not bothered to listen her (c) Her daughters not interested in what she speaks & (d) Her arrogance towards people for not listening her”.

In another incident in an interview given to TV9 Bharatvarsh, on being asked the question on ongoing poll violence she had threatened the anchor and left the interview.
Wow! #MoonmoonSen says at 9:20 "let him (@ajitanjum) lick BJP's ass". https://t.co/vOAvqagcse

The anchor asked, “There are a number of allegations against TMC workers for hoarding arms, for hoarding, bombs indulging in strong-arming, they use all the unfair means, like they did today, so don’t you think it is wrong, because the state government is yours, Mamata Banerjee is the CM?”
On which Moon Moon Sen seemed to be completely disgruntled and said, “No I didn’t do it, I’ll sue you, I’ll sue you… I’ll sue for defamation, what is this rubbish.”
The anchor later clarified that he had made allegations against her party not against her personally. However Moon Moon Sen had already removed her mic and stopped the interview. The mic was still working and further recorded Moon Moon Sen’s derogatory remarks for the anchor. She said, “If he is BJP’s then let him go and lick BJP’s a** and not come here to worry me….I have seen very big journalists coming here to interview me…they don’t talk like this… they come from England also I have spoken to them, …what do you want to know..I am not going to talk about today’s episode… ”
After her rants, someone in the background asks her to deny the same on the camera to which she replies, “I don’t want to get into any trouble.”
West Bengal under Mamata Banerjee government has been seeing the worst law and order situation in India, and the attitude of Moon Moon Sen and other TMC workers on shameful poll violence only reiterates their regard for free and fair elections.
