Congress, which has been the in the spotlight for its subversive and misleading tactics, has again been exposed by the recent developments in the controversy involving BJP Bhopal candidate Sadhvi Pragya and martyred IPS officer Hemant Karkare. This incident, with hidden agendas, many claim, is being used by the Congress as a tool to suppress the ongoing debate on the ‘Hindu terror conspiracy’.
Congress with its record of churning similar controversies in the past, be it the death of justice Loya or the most recent MMRCA Rafale deal has been adamant in striking the sentimental chords by bringing in the martyrdom of Hemant Karkare to peddle its political agenda.
However, Congress’ historical conduct is ready to challenge its ‘new found conscience’. Mohan Chand Sharma, a martyr and a Delhi police SI, was killed in the encounter operation in 2008, Mohan Chand Sharma was part of operations against JeM terrorists, what came to be known as ‘Batla House encounter’. However, it was not long that the Congress, with its subversion tactics, was fast to hijack the narrative ultimately to churn out political points. The Congress propaganda machinery had again made bravery of an officer a victim of its malafide.
Digvijaya Singh, who has been in a state of hue and cry for martyr Hemant Karkare, for reasons more than sentimental, had questioned the encounters in 2008 of which Mohan Chand Sharma was a part, ultimately questioning his supreme sacrifice. Digvijaya Singh even went to the length of calling the encounters fake and demanded a judicial probe.

Salman Khurshid, ex-cabinet minister in the Congress government and a close aide of Sonia Gandhi had also churned a controversy when in an election rally he expressed Sonia’s reaction after the encounter. “I was not a minister at that time but still took the issue of the Batla House encounter to Sonia Gandhi. When we showed photographs of that incident to Mrs. Gandhi, she wept bitterly,” he said, adding, “She asked me to go immediately to the Prime Minister to discuss the matter. I talked to the PM and it was decided that the matter would be further investigated and even the decision to appoint some retired chief justice of the Supreme Court to look into the matter was taken. Everything was ready, however due to election time; we could not do something as some people were in opinion that at the time of election, this thing could not be done.”
The same Congress, whose leaders were weeping tears on the encounter of terrorists, whose leaders have disrespected martyrs time and time again, has now come out to exploit a martyred policeman to meet its political ends.
Hemant Karkare, an IPS officer who was martyred in the 26/11 attacks, after Sadhvi Pragya made claims alleging Hemant Karkare’s involvement in her ordeal during police custody, is another victim of this self-declared liberal media and the Congress. Liberal media which has been instrumental in revealing sensitive information in name of ‘journalism’ be it the 1999 Kargil War or the heinous 26 November 2008 Mumbai attacks where more than 160 civilians had lost their lives, has been a perpetual terrorist apologist providing cover for the Congress. In this misadventure to whitewash heinous crimes against humanity, the ‘liberal’ set was also not short of propagating theories made out of thin air. The ‘Hindu terror’ theory that hit the media scene was another meek attempt to perpetuate this hypocrisy by the congress supported by the ‘neutral’ media, However, this time these attempts will not go unchecked.
