As per media reports, Robert Vadra has hinted at joining politics, a month after wife Priyanka Vadra officially joined the Congress party. In a Facebook post, Vadra hinted at it stating he “should dedicate a larger role in serving the people.” Following the footsteps of his wife, Priyanka, Robert Vadra may join the Congress party.
In a Facebook post, Vadra wrote, “The years n months that I spent campaigning n working in different parts of the country, but mainly in UP, gave me a feeling to do more for the people n make smaller changes possible by me, in their areas n when they got to know me, the genuine love, affection n respect I earned was humbling.”
He went on to add, “All these years of experience n learning cannot be just wasted and should be put to better use. Once all these accusations n allegations are over, I feel I should dedicate a larger role in serving the people.”
Earlier, in 2012, Robert also expressed his desire of joining the active politics by saying, “If people will wish that, then I will definitely come”. However, Priyanka soon quickly ended the speculation and urged that reporters have manufactured this news by asking him a twisted question.
In his post, the ‘national son-in-law’ took a jibe at the Enforcement Doctorate (ED) and stated that he has been targeted for more than a decade by various governments. Vadra further added that he has been used as a bait to divert the attention from the “real issues” of the nation. In the meantime, BJP took a dig at this move and twitted:

Robert Vadra also made the nation aware of his ‘good deeds’ and went on to add, “I sustained n kept strong by learning from the children I helped. From the blind school, to mother Teresa’s missions, to serving at orphanages n when visiting different faiths n places of worship, n feeding hungry people outside hospitals, temples.” (Apparently, he is doing something good out of the taxpayer’s money).
Robert Vadra further spoke of his ‘true hardship and struggles’ that he has to face while getting ‘treatment’ by the ED. Vadra has no grief of all his ill-treatment but took it as an opportunity to learn something. “Now with my visits to the Enforcement Directorate in Delhi n Rajasthan, almost 8 visits, of many hours and since I have always adhered to rules n surely not above the law, I have been a person to learn from every event I go through,” said Vadra.

Coming back to the mega drive to Congress party to promote nepotism in politics, Traditions must always be respected and if it is as glorious as nepotism, then it becomes the need of the hour. There is no doubt in it that the Congress party will soon induce Robert Vadra in. However, the lack of meritocracy and pervasiveness of dynasty politics in Congress party will be exposed in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
