The newly appointed Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath, seems to be creating controversies with his decisions on a daily basis. Controversy and Congress in Madhya Pradesh appear to tread hand in hand together these days.
According to media reports, on Thursday, the headmaster of a government school in Jabalpur district of MP was suspended for speaking against Chief Minister Kamal Nath. Jabalpur District Collector Chhavi Bharadwaj debarred Mukesh Tiwari- the headmaster of government-run Kanishta Buniyadi Middle School- from the service.
According to media reports, a video of Mukesh Tiwari where he is purportedly seen making the alleged derogatory remarks against CM Kamal Nath went viral on social media. He allegedly made derogatory remarks at a meeting held in the school a couple of days ago.
In the video, Mukesh Tiwari can be seen saying, “There have been problems in the 14 years when the BJP was ruling. Now the Congress has come to power let’s see what happens. Our own people have troubled us, what can we expect from others. So the work lies on the shoulders of our community, because however our Shivraj Singh was, Kamal Nath is a ‘daaku’.”

A teacher has been suspended for terming Kamal Nath as ‘daaku’. CM Kamal Nath is the member of same Congress party whose president in elections rallies and press conferences refers to PM Modi as ‘Chor’. When the Congress party encourages the use of such derogatory words against political opponents then it must also have the courage to face whatsoever comes.
Now, no one seems to be crying of intolerance and the curbing of freedom of dissent. Also, the Lutyens’ media has maintained a dead silence on the way things have unfolded in Madhya Pradesh. Fascism in MP appears to be the new norm. On one hand, PM Modi bears all that is hurled at him in the form of abuses and accusations but on the other hand, MP CM Kamal Nath is so intolerant that he finds it hard to digest criticism from a school headmaster and gets him suspended for a ‘daaku’ remark.
During the election campaign last year, Kamalnath had alleged that some government employees in the state possess ‘secret affection’ for Bhartiya Janata Party. He had warned ‘those employees’ to be ready to face the ‘consequences’ and his ‘wrath’ when his party forms the government in the state. Immediately after assuming power in the state, Kamal Nath transferred 42 IAS officers. It seems he was very serious about this vendetta politics as is now evident from the sweeping directive. Not to forget that Kamal Nath is an ‘emergency’ hero of the Congress party. And now it appears as if MP is in the clutches of an undeclared emergency.
In the past, many Congress spokespersons have been in a habit of using derogatory and abusive language on television but Congress finds no reason to remove them from the party. The leaders belonging to the Congress party behave as if India is their fiefdom. There are many instances when the Congress spokespersons’ and leaders violated basic decorum and used abusive language on air, issued intimidation and open threats to journalists.

Uncivilized behavior is very common among Congress spokespersons’ but Rajiv Tyagi crossed all the limits. Despite this, he still has the Congress’ membership. Rajiv Tyagi is well known for using crass language against his political opponents. The presence of people like Tyagi shows the morally corrupt character of the Congress and the recent suspension of a government school headmaster in Jabalpur for terming CM Kamal Nath as ‘daaku’ shows Congress’ double standard on freedom of speech and expression.
