According to media reports, in order to expose the Congress party for conspiring against the central government and misleading people on Rafale deal, BJP is going to organize a pan India campaign of 70 press conferences with 70 leaders including the sitting CMs of the states. This can also be seen as a step towards fighting the fake propaganda of the Congress after the recent set back in the assembly election of 5 states.
Earlier, PM Modi launched a blistering attack on the Congress party for using national security and country’s defense as a punching bag to further its cause of maligning the BJP and the country. In the run-up to the assembly elections of 5 states, the Congress had deputed 50 leaders across 100 cities to hold press conferences to “expose” and “corner” the Modi government over Rafale deal.
The BJP will go on a mega media blitzkrieg on Monday. 70 press conferences across India by 70 top leaders including its sitting chief ministers. Goal: Change the #RafaleDeal narrative.

The Modi government has been accused by the Congress of misleading the court by altering the CAG report on the Rafale deal. Congress party was trying to pressurize the central government by demanding Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe in the matter. Youth Congress workers had also organized a protest march against the government. But the Supreme Court’s verdict on November 14 went in favor of the current government. The apex court had dismissed all the petitions calling for a probe in the Rafale deal. On which, BJP said the Congress party is trying to “mess up” the country’s defense, news agency ANI reported.
The Supreme Court in its order on Friday dismissed all writ petitions seeking a probe by a SIT committee. A three-judge bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, said, “Perception of individuals cannot be the basis of fishing and roving inquiry by this court, especially in such matters.”
The central government has sought an urgent correction in the wording of a particular paragraph of in the order “In the interests of justice and in the facts and circumstances of the case, while noting that “the observations in the judgment have resulted in a controversy”, news agency PTI reported.
The aim of these press conferences is to reach out to a diverse set of audience with the achievements of the government. These fake allegations made by Congress, have made enough dents in the PM’s promise of good governance and need to be revived. BJP has realized the need of it and now decided to go a spree of press conferences to expose the Congress.
Earlier, Mani Shankar Aiyar, Congress leader, and former cabinet minister admitted that the Congress party was trying to mislead the nation on the issue. Congress’s motive was to create mistrust among the masses regarding the current BJP government so that they won’t be able to return to power in 2019. He gave these statements while he was being interviewed by a Pakistani news channel.

Besides all of these, Congress president Rahul Gandhi shamelessly held a press conference and again accused the Modi government of corruption, despite Supreme Court giving a clean chit to the government. So far, BJP has been sort of defensive when it comes to media management. This blitzkrieg is aimed to change the current strategy of media campaigning by BJP government.
