The Andhra Pradesh CM, Chandrababu Naidu is well known for his pro-corporate stance. There is nothing wrong in being a pro-corporate politician but amassing personal wealth is the name of being pro-corporate does not go well with the masses. In a show of transparency, Naidu family declared wealth but the findings were shocking for the poor of the country if not anything else.

The asset of Chandrababu Naidu’s three year old grandson is worth 18.71 crore, which means that the three-year old is richer than 95 percent of the total population of the country. This is nothing but mockery of the common people of state who work round the clock to fulfill the basic needs of daily life.

The wealth of the CM grew from 2.53 crore to 2.99 crore in last year despite the fact that the salary for the post is minimal. This means that the pre-held assets of Chandrababu Naidu have paid a good return. Chandrababu Naidu owns an ambassador car worth 1.52-lakh which was purchased way back in 1993-94 and a residential building in his home district worth 23.84 lakhs. The major liability of Andhra CM include a 5.31 crore home loan from Bank of Baroda.

Moreover, the CBI had registered a case against Chandrababu Naidu in 2013 when Andhra Pradesh High Court ordered a preliminary probe against him for illegitimate amassment of wealth.

Nara Lokesh, son of Chandrababu Naidu became MLC under the MLA quota last year and was later made Minister for IT, Panchayati Raj and Rural Development. Nara Lokesh, a month later, declared his assets to be of worth 21.40 crore in the ongoing fiscal. His wealth grew-up by 30 percent in less than 8 months of this fiscal as his net worth was just 15.21 crore last year.

Nara Lokesh is said to be involved in corruption scandal worth 21,000 crore rupees. He was alleged to have signed fake MoUs with many companies in the name of investment. A petition seeking CBI investigation was filed in Andhra Pradesh High Court by a retired judge K Sravan Kumar. A complaint against Nara Lokesh was also filed in CBI by YSR Congress party for illegal grabbing of government land of 80 acres in Andhra Pradesh.

Bhuvaneswari, wife of CM Chandrababu Naidu is the richest member of the family with net worth of 31.01 crore. Her net worth stood at 25.41 crore in the last fiscal. She is the head of Heritage Foods Limited, the major source of wealth for the Naidu family. Her grandson, Devansh follows her to be the second richest member of the family.

Previously, Andhra Pradesh high court had ordered a preliminary probe of Naidu’s wife wealth, and this indicates that the family of Andhra CM has amassed wealth through various non-transparent means. A few days back, Naidu shut the door for CBI in the state and withdrew the general consent to the investigation agency. There are many cases pending with the CBI against the family regarding amassing fortunes through illegal means. It is obvious that a family in which a 3 year-old owns an asset more than that of 95 percent of the total population will never want a premier investigation agency at their doorsteps.
