The incumbent Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that he is going to file a defamation case against Rahul Gandhi for mudslinging on his family members.
On Monday, while addressing a rally in Jhabua in Madhya Pradesh, Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that Shivraj Singh’s son was named in the Panama papers.
Vehemently attacking Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Rahul Gandhi said that the name of CM Shivraj’s son has surfaced in the Panama Papers but no action has been taken against him. He further said that when a country like Pakistan can put its former PM, Nawaz Sharif, behind bars, why there is no action against CM’s son in Madhya Pradesh.
Reacting to the allegations by Rahul Gandhi, serving CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan asserted that law will take its course now. He tweeted, “Mr @RahulGandhi, you have been making patently false allegations of Vyapam to Panama Papers against me and my family. Tomorrow, I am filing a criminal defamation suit for maximum damages against you for frivolous and malafide statements. Let law take its own course now.”

Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “Congress has been in practice of looking down upon the BJP workers. It called Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘Maut ka Saudagar’, ‘neech’ and ‘Bicchu’. The party called me ‘nalayak’, ‘madari’ etc. Staying away from making the government is getting tougher for him and it is affecting him mentally.”
The serving chief minister further said: “For the past several years, Congress has been making unrestrained allegations me and my family. We respect everybody and maintain our dignity but, today Rahul Gandhi has crossed all his limits when he said my son Yuva Kartikey’s name has come in Panama papers. We are going to file a defamation suit against him tomorrow.”

Shivraj Singh Chouhan has set a precedent which should be followed by other BJP leaders and their allies too. Arvind Kejriwal and the likes of him have gotten away too easily after raising baseless allegations against top BJP leaders.
It’s not the first time that Rahul Gandhi has leveled baseless allegations against BJP leaders. In recent times, he has earned reputation of making false allegations against the leaders of the ruling party. Earlier, character assassination of BJP Cabinet Minister of Railways and Coal, Piyush Goyal was attempted by alleging him as complicit in corruption. Congress and leftist ecosystem has also asked for the resignation of one of the most honest and hardworking ministers of PM Modi’s cabinet, based on false and made-up charges which were thoroughly debunked.
However, Piyush Goyal strongly retorted the charges made by Rahul Gandhi. Piyush goyal tweeted that he was a “kaamdaar” (worker) and not a “naamdaar” (dynast) like Rahul Gandhi.
Till 26th May 2014, before I became a Minister, I was a professional Chartered Accountant & investment banker. Unlike you, Mr @RahulGandhi, I have not learnt well the art of living without working. I am also a kaamdaar (worker) and not a naamdaar (dynast)

Not just BJP ministers but the family members of the BJP leaders were also not spared. Jay Shah, son of BJP President Amit Shah was hounded by the left and Congress ecosystem on the bogus and fake charges of corruption. Since the BJP government has come to power, Lutyens’ media has targeted BJP government by creating hoax outrage over made-up and fake corruption issues. They created controversy around the natural death of Judge Loya. Lutyens’ media targeted PM Modi’s government over Rafale deal, Nirav Modi, Vijay Mallya, Lalit Modi, Arun Jaitley in DDCA and many other hoaxes which later on were proven to be baseless. Interestingly, in most of the cases, it’s the Congress which was found responsible for the damage. But still, the Media plagued by TINA (There is no alternative except Congress) narrative, has held BJP responsible for all the wrong doings of their favorite masters.
According to a recent development, in sheer act of U-turn, Rahul Gandhi accepts the fact that his allegations on CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his son for being involved in Panama Papers was due to the abundance of corruption prevailing in the BJP. He further tried to wash out his hurriedly-made allegations by reiterating the accusations of Vyapam and e-tendering on CM Chouhan.
