As if genocide and exodus was not enough, now the Kashmiri Pandits are being stripped off their identities and constitutional rights. The Jammu and Kashmir Urban Local Bodies and Panchayat elections are about to take place and it has been found that names of one lakh exiled Kashmiri Pandits is not on the voters’ lists. The All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) has blamed the State Administration and the Central Government for it.

The BJP state vice president GL Raina said exiled Kashmiri Pandits had voted in 2005 Municipal polls in Jammu but this time their basic fundamental right has been snatched away. Raina had said, “Over one lakh displaced Kashmiri people are being denied their fundamental right to vote in civic polls in J&K by the Election Commission of India (ECI) by either deleting their names from voters’ lists or not listing them in voter lists for the coming polls in the state.”
ASKPC said that in the year 2005 when the Congress-PDP government was in power, they had the right to vote in Jammu elections, but they were stripped of this right during the BJP-PDP government. The head of ASKPC, TK Bhatt alleged that during the Governor’s rule this is the biggest neglect shown towards the concerns of the exiled Kashmiri Pandits. He also said that the Jammu and Kashmir Election Department under a conspiracy has denied the right to vote to more than one lakh exiled Kashmiri Pandits in the Urban Local Bodies and Panchayat elections which are scheduled to be held in October in Jammu. Kashmiri Pandits, who have been living in Jammu for 28 years, have been expunged from voters’ list. Kashmiri Pandits living in other parts of the country such as in Delhi, Pune, Mumbai and Bengaluru have this right, but not the exiled Kashmiri Pandits living in Jammu. Bhat also said that during 2005 corporate elections, a Kashmiri exiled woman was elected as the corporator.

Earlier, BJP state vice president GL Raina had said, “If the issue is not resolved at the earliest by ECI, state governor and CEO, we may take the legal route.”

It’s really very sad state of affairs. Illegal immigrants such Bangladeshi Muslims and Rohingya Muslims under the political patronage have managed to get their names on voters’ lists, on the other hand, people of our own country are being denied basic fundamental right to vote. But Lutyens’ media hardly cares about the concerns of Kashmiri Pandits for some secular reasons. On the other hand, despite the fact that illegal immigrants coming from Bangladesh and Myanmar are security threat to the nation, the liberal-leftist cabal vehemently supports them and are in favor of providing them shelter in India on taxpayers’ money. The cabal not just ignores the plights of exiled Kashmiri Pandits but it also enthusiastically participates in any such campaign or program which is aimed at erasing the history of Kashmiri Pandits. There has been always a tacit understanding between those who are responsible for the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits and the cabal. The cabal has always overtly and covertly supported the oppressors and barbarians rather than supporting the victims.
