Another conspiracy to kill Hindu leaders was busted in Coimbatore when acting on a tip off, the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) team of the police arrested five people from the airport. Four of the five were flying from Chennai while the fifth person had come to pick them up from the airport. The people detained by the police had come under the pretext of attending a marriage to kill Arjun Sampath of Hindu Makkal Katchi and Hindu Munnani leader Mookambika Mani amongst others. The interrogations revealed the extent of their plans which included killing the Hindu leaders so that panic would set in and a disturbed social harmony and political scene would follow. The five people were picked up and lodged in Central jail after being booked under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act and Conspiracy while the security for the aforementioned leaders has been tightened. The mainstream media has largely stayed silent on this piece of news which is shocking.

The mainstream media houses have instead chosen to focus on the Sanatan Sanstha, running a kangaroo court against it on debates. Sanatan Sanstha is a controversial outfit which was propped up and protected by the Congress. A member of this organization was arrested with arms and ammunitions which led to the organization coming under the scanner of security agencies, what followed was a media trial. Terming the Sanatan Sanstha as the face of Hindu organizations in the country the left biased media houses have used it as a prop to target the Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies. Congress had in fact turned down the request to ban the organisation in Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka in 2013 when it was in power. P. Chidambaram the then Home Minister had in 2011 refused to declare Sanatan Sanstha as a ‘terrorist organisation’.

Therefore it is surprising that today the media houses are trying to blame the BJP and RSS for the acts done by members of Sanatan Sanstha which in fact had worked as the B-team of the Congress. There must be some bias in the media houses which have chosen not to report the story from Coimbatore while choosing to highlight the acts of Sanatan Sanstha. The SIU team from Coimbatore found evidence after interrogating the five people arrested which proves that there was a plot to kill Hindu leaders in the southern parts of India. The conspiracy to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi was being hatched in Maharashtra and when the police picked them up the entire cabal tried to term it as a crackdown on free speech and social activism.

Terming the acts of a few fringe elements from the majority community as ‘saffron terror’ works perfectly well for the media houses which are yet to brand terror acts in India as the result of Islamic radicals and extremists. These same media houses have now chosen to maintain a stoic silence when evidences related to a plot to kill Hindu leaders has now come out. This sheer hypocrisy set in the minds of the people stops them from seeing the truth.
