The 4 big lies that Rahul Gandhi told today in the house

Congress President Rahul Gandhi today with his speech converted Lok Sabha into an ‘entertainment sabha’. In his speech he had earlier claimed that if he was allowed to speak in the Lok Sabha, it might cause an earthquake. Now, after one and a half year he got the opportunity to take on the government during the debate on the no-confidence motion in Lok Sabha. But as expected, he just made a fool of himself. His speech was full of the same old lies and baseless allegations.

We are going to list the four biggest lies perpetuated by Rahul Gandhi in his speech:

Firstly, he claimed that PM Modi during 2014 Lok Sabha election promised to deposit 15 lakh in the accounts of every individual of the country. This claim is absolutely false and bogus. Infact, PM Modi never made any such promises, it is just a myth created by the leftist-lutyen cabal to mislead the people of the country.

The second bogus lie told by Rahul Gandhi was about job creation. He made an absurd claim that Modi government provided only 400,000 jobs in their four years of rule, which is again complete nonsense at every level. In fact, job creation in the country is growing exponentially because of increase in the economic activities. As per the payroll data of the Employee Provident Fund Organization (EPFO),  41.26 lakh new jobs were created during September 2017-April this year, with the first month of the current fiscal witnessing highest-ever addition of 6.85 lakh. According to International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), India now accounts for 20% of global jobs in renewable energy sector. Contrary to Rahul’s claims, jobs are growing at a substantial rate, all thanks to the government’s land and labour reforms . Manish Sabharwal, who is one of the most appreciated employment economists in the world, correctly said: “Wages, not jobs, are the main problem for India.”

The third baseless claim of Rahul Gandhi was against Jay Shah, son of Amit Shah. His charges against Jay Shah was baseless and he did not provide any proof to back any of his allegations. Amit Shah’s son filed a defamation case against the website which published a baseless story against him claiming that his company’s turnover showed an increase of 16,000 times in the year after Narendra Modi was elected as Prime Minister.

Another baseless claim by Mr. Gandhi was about the Rafale scam, which is anything but a scam. He also asked why the government is not disclosing the details of the deal. Well, the answer to this is that, The Indian Government cannot disclose the costs because as per ‘Article-10’ of the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Government of India and Government of France on the purchase of Rafale aircraft. The protection of the classified information and material exchanged under IGA is governed by the provisions of the Security Agreement signed between the two nations in 2008, ironically under the Congress led UPA government. Congress, it appears not only trivializes and ignores national security but also has a tendency to forget the laws which were signed in its own rule for its own gains.

During his speech, Rahul Gandhi accused PM Modi of being unable to look him in the eyes. The camera told us a different story. PM Modi was looking at him and laughing loudly, because unfortunately, the Hindi phrase Rahul used to state as much was not quite right.“Pradhanmantri apni aankh meri aankh mein nahi daal sakte,” he said.

Rahul Gandhi also indulged in fear mongering, claiming that BJP wants to change the constitution when the truth is that it was his family who made mockery of the constitution during the emergency .

He ended his speech by giving a hollow threat to PM Modi and Amit Shah, saying that if they lose power, “processes will start against them”. Surprisingly, after his speech he gave PM Modi a big hug. Even by Rahul’s standards, this is one of the worst performances ever. Untruths, gaffes, missteps, disruptions, adjournments, and points of orders- anything that can make a speech in parliament bad, this one had it all.
