Another BJP worker was found hanging from an electricity pole in Dabha village of Purulia’s Balarampur. The victim has been identified as Dulal Kumar Mahato, a 32 year old BJP worker. TMC, which is the ruling party in the state of West Bengal, has been severely criticised by the BJP leadership for targeting and killing BJP workers in order to maintain political supremacy.
According to reports, the BJP worker had been kidnapped on Friday. His motorcycle was found near a pond after which a police complaint was registered. BJP national general secretary, Kailash Vijayvargiya had come out all guns blazing after the reports of Dulal’s kidnapping had come to light and alleged that the local police did not take any action even after a police report was lodged into the matter.
This comes after the heart wrenching reports of Trilochan Mahato, an 18 year old member of the BJP youth wing was mercilessly murdered and his body hung from a tree. A chilling note was found at the spot of crime stating that he was killed because he was associated with the BJP, stongly hinting the involvement of TMC workers in the heinous crime. BJP had put up a close fight in Purulia winning 645 seats in the Gram Panchayat polls. TMC, rattled by BJP’s phenomenal rise in the state and particularly in Purulia, has resorted to political murders in order to halt BJP’s emergence as a force to be reckoned with in West Bengal. The way innocent workers have been killed shows that TMC is attempting to eliminate BJP because it cannot fight the BJP on a political stage.
In Mamata ruled West Bengal, it is a crime to disagree with her ideology. TMC workers have been running riot in the state and it seems that being a BJP worker or a Hindu is considered a felony in the state. TMC workers are acting as executioners on a rampage against the BJP workers. It seems as if West Bengal is not being administered by a democratic government but by an ISIS like entity. Mamata ruled government has virtually made ISIS out of West Bengal. One has to conduct himself according to the whims and fancies of the TMC or be ready to face the wrath of its goons who are unleashing terror across West Bengal. Illegal arrests, political murders and state sponsored violence have been blatantly used by Mamata government in order to oppress the Hindus and the BJP workers living in the state. Hindus have been openly denied their religious states in order to appease a particular community. West Bengal does not seem to represent the ideals of a secular India but an Islamo-fascist nation.
The latest turn of events in the state of West Bengal makes it imperative that the Centre not only considers but promptly imposes President’s rule in the state of West Bengal. No state government can be allowed to rule by terrorising the opposition workers and the ordinary residents of the state. India is a democratic nation that must be governed by the rule of law at every level,; the rule of terror under the Mamata government is therefore wholly intolerable. No one can be allowed to get away with killing opposition workers if they can’t handle the rise of the opposition. Centre must now go in damage control mode and dislodge the Mamata government before it completely destructs the democratic and secular fabric of West Bengal.
