Zee News and AAP rebel leader Kapil Mishra have exposed horrific details about how Hindu refugees coming to Delhi from Pakistan due to widespread anti-Hindu violence have been subjected to the most inhumane conditions by the Kejriwal government. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been accused of removing the sole power connection in the Adarsh Nagar rehabilitation camp for Hindu refugees. Kapil Mishra stated in his tweet, that he visited Hindu refugees coming to Delhi from Pakistan. He added that they have come to India in order to live with dignity and pride and save their dharma. Since 2013, they had one electricity connection that has now been removed by the Delhi government. In another tweet, rebel AAP leader Kapil Mishra stated that 600 refugees, including 140 kids and 7 infants, have been living without electricity in the national capital for the last twenty two days.

According to the Zee News report, the refugee camp is in a dire state. The Pakistani Hindus have been pleading for a permanent electricity connection along with basic cleanliness in the camp before the Delhi government and administrative authorities for the last four years. However, their requests have fallen upon deaf ears and the Kejriwal government, instead of taking cognizance, has only made matters worse by removing the sole electricity connection catering to the camp. A refugee from the camp added that due to the removal of electricity connection, even water supply has been hampered right in the middle of scorching summer. This has resulted in many of the kids and senior individuals in the camp falling ill. Due to Kejriwal government’s heartless policy of targeting Hindu refugees, all hell has broken loose in the camp.

This is not only about the Pakistani Hindu refugees being made to live in pathetic and inhumane conditions but also about how the Delhi government seems to be discriminating between Hindu refugees and Rohingya refugees coming from Bangladesh. According to Kapil Mishra, while the Kejriwal government removed the only electricity connection to the Adarsh Nagar Hindu refugee rehabilitation camp in the middle of scorching summer, air conditioners have been installed at the Bangladeshi basti right across the road. Kapil Mishra rightly added, that had the refugees living in the Adarsh Nagar Hindu refugee camp been Rohingyas and not Hindus, they would not have been suffering like this. The government and senior leaders would have come out pandering to the refugees had they been Rohingyas. It seems that Hindu refugees coming to Delhi after a painful exodus from Pakistan are being punished by Kejriwal only because they are Hindus, and thereby do not help him in widening his “secular” vote bank. This also explains why there is a gross violation in the equality principle and why the Rohingya basti is being given all kind of facilities.
Kejriwal had come to power on the premise of being “different” from others, promising to bring about a positive change in Indian politics. However, the way he is pandering to minorities in order to make electoral gains, and not sparing even Hindu refugees who have been victimized for the last 70 years in Pakistan shows that Kejriwal is hardly different from others of his ilk. The change that he is bringing, if at all he is, is only negative, obnoxious and self serving in nature.
