NCERT books have been accused of spreading communal disharmony and for being biased. In NCERT books Muslim invaders and barbarians who killed crores of Hindus, looted and demolished temples are presented as heroes. Indian heroes who defeated the Muslim invaders are either just ignored or there is just one paragraph about them. Books have been made a tool to spread propaganda and to manipulate the young minds. NCERT books are biased against Hindus and glorifies the Islamic culture. Many non-government actors has also interfered in NCERT book writings, one of them being Teesta Setalvad.
Teesta Setalvad got special perks and designed the communal curriculum. Setalvad is best known for her role in demonizing PM Modi after the Gujarat riots of 2002. The Ahmedabad Police has filed an affidavit against Teesta Setalvad on May 21, 2018. The affidavit has made sensational allegations on Teesta Setalvad and the UPA government. According to the affidavit accessed by the Republic TV, Teesta Setalvad and her husband misused their position in CABE to publish inciting material for students, and to bring benefits to her own organization, Sabrang Trust. They were using literature and books to spread enmity between religions and community. The NCERT officials have said that the ‘communally disharmonious’ literature included criticism of the judicial system, the constitution, saffronisation & politics, communal narrative on 2002 riots and also the about the Babri Masjid. These materials were taught to students of class 6th to class 12th standard. NCERT called the curriculum as ‘venomous’ and was aimed at spreading communal disharmony. According to the affidavit, despite the material being rejected by the NCERT, it was approved by the HRD ministry under Kapil Sibal. The NCERT officials called his approval as a ‘political decision’.
It is quite clear that PM Modi’s biggest detractor, who posed as an NGO activist fighting for justice, was being patronized by the Congress Party. For this venomous propaganda, Teesta Setalvad’s Khoj Project of Sabrang trusts also acquired funds of up to Rupees 1.40 crore from the HRD ministry. This also raises few serious questions such as, What qualification did she have to be part of CABE? Did the money we pay as taxes go towards funding her communal projects? On what basis did Kapil Sibal approve of this? Of late, she has also been exposed for mishandling and misusing of funds. Is this the woman who’s version about the 2002 riots to the media peddled? If yes, then it can be safely concluded that the media has spread distorted versions which were aimed at creating communal disharmony and hatred towards one particular person and the party.
It’s clearly evident that literatures were used to brainwash the minds of innocent kids and create hatred in their minds for a particular party, person and a particular ideology. They distorted India’s history, kept the school children ignorant of their past, corrupted the minds of children with fake narratives.
God save the children from the Congress and their propaganda machinery.Today Congress and the leftist NGOs accuse the BJP of saffronising the books, but they themselves were indulged in the business of communalising it. Now when the BJP is doing course-correction they call it saffronisation.
