External Affair Minister Sushma Swaraj’s compassion for Indians living in foreign countries is very well known. Her ministry is always ready to help distressed Indians living and working in foreign countries. She is one of the most popular ministers in PM Modi’s cabinet. Her compassion for our neighbours in Pakistan is also not hidden from anyone. She receives many laurels for giving medical visas to citizens of neighboring countries. In an RTI reply on December 8, 2017, The Ministry of Home Affairs (Foreigners Division) said that it has granted medical visas to 380 Pakistani nationals between the period of May 10, 2017, and December 1, 2017.On the occasion of Diwali, She granted medical visas to all deserving pending cases.

Her help has given a new lease of life to many people of Pakistan. But, Pakistan, as usual, has shown a lack of gratitude. Pakistani politicians accused India of tightening medical visa rules and alleged that India is now giving less number of medical visas to Pakistanis and also accused that India is playing politics over medical visas.
One of the most interesting things about Sushma Swaraj is that she is bold and articulate. Her stunning speeches in Lok Sabha astound everyone. Even her opponents appreciate her direct and straightforward approach. This time, the entire social media is appreciating her for her bold response given to a Kashmiri Aazaadi seeker.

Her stinging reply came in response to a tweet from a Kashmiri who had asked for her assistance with his location mentioned, ‘Indian Occupied Kashmir’ in his twitter profile.

The person quickly made changes to his profile and finally and deleted the ‘Indian Occupied Kashmir’ from his twitter profile.

As soon as this happened, words in Sushma Swaraj’s appreciation flooded the twitter.

This is not the first time Sushma Swaraj has given a befitting reply to a nonsensical person. She did it with Faizan Patel in 2016. In the past, Faizan Patel has made several disparaging tweets on Sushma Swaraj. He had used the most objectionable innuendos for Sushma Swaraj. For a man, who had used foul lamguage for Sushma Swaraj in the past, Faizan Patel shamelessly approached her for help. In 2014, even though he had abused Sushma Swaraj relentlessly, she came to his rescue when it was needed.
All of this shows that Sushma Swaraj is a human and an Indian first. She could have easily ignored these undeserving and ungrateful people but she chose not to do so and helped them with every possible means. This demonstrates that for her, duty and country come first before anything else.
Given the hostility of the Kashmiri person in question towards India, as demonstrated on his social media profiles, it remains to be seen whether the profile change is just a convenient way to get the necessary help or his mindset has been altered as well due to the prompt and sympathetic response of Ms. Sushma Swaraj. Putting ‘Indian Occupied Kashmir’ in his twitter profile reflects the mindset of the people and the hate they carry in their heart and mind for India. There is a serious need to fix such mindset.
