Tarun Vijay’s casual racism raises a big question mark on our education system

BJP’s Tarun Vijay, seems to be smitten by foot in the mouth disease with his comments in an interview in Al Jazeera channel that has now drawn flak from all corners. In his enthusiasm to defend the anchor’s instigation about the recent attacks on Nigerians, being given a racial color Tarun Vijay shot his foot by remarking about how India was not racist as they have been living with black south Indians!

Bishop Robert Caldwell, the evangelical missionary of Tirunelveli(TN) who invented the Dravida theory to divide native Indians, would jump up in ecstatic joy in the seventh heavens today!

The fact that a man of Tarun Vijay’s stature has made such comments even if it was an unintended mess of words, goes on to tell the sloppy state of our education system.

Our education system has taught us such blatantly vicious history of so called light skinned Aryans and the Dark Dravidas that it has been ingrained into our belief system so much that we remain disconnected even in our present set up choosing to see through the prisms of our colonial enslavers.

Even while the North Indian masses are only waking up to the reality that not all South Indians are Madrasis, thanks to the stereotyping of South Indians in Bollywood movies like Chennai Express where South Indians are shown as a set of ridiculously styled, curly haired, heavily moustached, lungi draping, finger licking, ugly accented creatures. But the funny fact is that most top heroines of Bollywood be it in yester years or today are largely south Indians like Vyjayanthimala, Hema Malini, Sridevi, Rekha, Asin, Vidhya Balan, Aishwarya Rai and many more.

There are many other states of across the north and south of India where you find various shades of brown people, I have seen many people from UP, Bihar and Punjab who are more colored and if even if people in the south are more colored than their neighboring counterparts it is quite obvious that people in humid tropical coastal regions who make a living out of the sea are more colored due to overt exposure to the scorching sun, So the question is how did this stereotype come into being amongst the minds of the masses that pervades with so much ease?

In this backdrop and shoddy display of intelligence by Tarun Vijay, it is imperative to share today as to how and why the Aryan Dravidian theory was weaved into the Indian history and who was the mind behind it.

When the British came to India, they came with the feudal mindset that was largely prevalent in their native European states where racism, Church’s radicalism and slavery were at its peak.

Black negros and Tribals from Africa, Americas and Egypt were transported like cattle to white dominated colonies for absolute slavery. Their savage approach towards native non-Christians and more so their attitude of seeing colored people as lesser worthy was their hallmark of being brazenly British but when they came to India they realized that the roots of society were strongly woven in their shared spirituality and identities that formed civilizational commonness and no amount of biblical dialogues would work unless they broke the spine of the very civilization that bound the masses with common history, social, religious practices, customs and beliefs.

The evangelists who came to baptize were skewered by their hollowness and smitten by our spiritual superiority, when they realized that they were no match for us they lost no time in ingesting our Vedic inheritances as their own Christian renaissance much like how a Rahul Gandhi or an Arvind Kejriwal got elevated by constantly continuously comparing with Modi even when the duo are nowhere comparable but then putting up a picture of Rahul next to Modi automatically calls for a comparison and pitches him as a worthy enough candidate who lost against a tall leader, by applying this tactics the Church that was fast losing face in the European world found a  promising future by besieging Hinduism.

Indology and philology of Indian literary works/epics had become an obsession for the European amateurs who claimed themselves as scholars and historians, they saw that India was more advanced in matters of philosophy and spirituality and that the European biblical fallacies would not work on Indians in the manner they had treacherously imposed on gullible black Africans where they propagated that it was the curse of the Gods(Ham) that the blacks had to be enslaved to their white superiors and if anyone dared to disobey this diktat of the God then they would face the wrath of the Gods! Since religious enslavement was their first tool of political monopoly, proselytization of the natives into Christianity was the first step towards mental enslavement, once they had surrendered then they would play the white cards and still reign supreme but the stiff resistance by the spiritual scholars and Bramin classes challenging all their flaws had revealed more than they could bare. One of the 18th century European Indologist Monsier William famously wrote:

“When the walls of the mighty fortress of Brahmanism are encircled, undermined, and finally stormed by the soldiers of the cross, the victory of Christianity must be signal and complete”

When their spiritual and philosophical claims were challenged, various classes of people joined hands with the priestly classes that they resorted to deceitful garbs of charity, egalitarianism and vilely played up the linguistic card.

Bishop Robert Caldwell, the 18th century missionary evangelist coined the Sanskrit word ‘Dravida’ making it synonymous with South Indian languages with an intent to separate Sanskrit out of Tamil and to disconnect Tamilians from mainstream India and disintegrate them from Hindu identities by harvesting on Tamil chauvinism which he propagated vehemently by writing various atrocious and doctored literatures where he unduly propagated that Tamil was superior to Sanskrit and that Tamilians were an ingenious race called Dravidians who were invaded and subjugated by Brahmin Aryan invaders who came from the outside!

He praised the Tamil scholars and attributed all that was good as native Tamilian trait and all that was bad as Aryan Brahminism, he gradually established that the Tamil speaking were actually Tamulian, a religion in itself which was lot similar to the gentle and superior Christians.

In the early 19th century Lord Herbert Hope Risley began a bizarre study called ‘Race Science’ where he measured the nasal index of Indians to determine the race of Indian communities depending on the width of the nose in proportion to its height! His intent was to separate the Aryans and the Dravidians whom he classified based on their skin color applying the racial European yardstick of blacks and whites. It was Risley’s 4 decades of savage efforts that established the Jati-Varna or the caste system as an ethnic identity which was until then never genetic.

Most white proselytizers dedicate their lives to evangelism, initially they are all praises for the religion they want to destroy, they imbibe, inculcate and begin practicing that very faith they want to falsify by mingling with our scholars and thinkers and win their hearts, they will even propagate the greatness of Hinduism to the world and fight their own brethren. After a dedicated 40 or 50 years after mining all our thought processes and after understanding our counter mechanisms they deceive us to the greatest depths.

Max Muller, whom Swami Vivekanada trusted with eyes closed was one such life time proselytizer and this should serve as a warning to our thinkers and leaders not to trust any white men even they seem to be die hard right-leaning champions of Hinduism!

With aggressive proselytizers like Caldwell and Risley who followed Max Mullers insights, the Tamils were separated from pan India. Most Brahmins were harassed and made to leave their homes and soon an entire religious, political discourse that openly advocated anti-Hinduism under the garb of anti-Brahminism began under the aid of the Christian missionaries that has today fruitfully spread its wings across the breadth and length of large portions of Tamil Nadu, Andra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala.

As a commemoration to the great proselytization efforts for his savage adulterating and infesting of spiritual texts of Hinduism with filth and mining away its original glory into Christian texts, today there is a statue of Robert Caldwell on the famous Marina beach where people acknowledge him as the savior of the Tamils as they walk around unaware of the deceitful Dravida card pitched and played against them.

So dear Tarun Vijay, if skin color was a measure to ascertain if one was a South Indian then even Obama would qualify as a Dravidian and Omar Abdullah an Aryan! And in comparison, to Paneer Selvam, Karunanidhi qualifies to be an Aryan!

Although there is no scientific evidence to this discriminating theory, although many scholars and Indologists have opined that the whole Aryan theory was faked up for a political plunder, unfortunately our history texts are full of this dangerous theory of Aryan and Dravidian divide, that ruins and rules mindsets so much that even people who stand against this racial theory subconsciously end up uttering the same divisive words which demonstrates that there is growing need to change our history books to change our mindsets and bring about a connect with common native identities that have been mistakenly or deliberately prescribed by the myth of philologists!
