Pakistan was at it again – the usual business of resorting to unprovoked aggression across the International India-Pakistan border. Ever since the 29/09 surgical strike by the Indian Army, the Pakistani Establishment and the Pakistani Army has been in a constant state of denial even as their ‘retaliatory’ measures across the border increased. There have been 7 major infiltration attempts from the other side of the border, all of which were forced by the BSF and the army.
Yesterday, Hiranagar Sector was targeted by terrorists on Thursday when they tried attacking a police post in the sector but a timely intervention by the Indian Army forced the militants to flee back to Pakistan. One of the fleeing militants was grievously injured.
News Wire ANI reports that the Hiranagar sector was at the cross hair of the targeted firing of Pakistani Rangers again. Apart from Hiranagar, Pakistani rangers violated ceasefire in Samba and Akhnoor areas as well.
It is an open secret that the Pakistani rangers do not fight alone but are almost always assisted by terrorists. They were assisted by Terrorists in the Hiranagar attack too.
BSF Jawans responded strongly to the Pakistani aggression. In their retaliation, BSF killed 7 Pakistani rangers along with a terrorist.
In the operation, a BSF Jawan was injured too.
The administration in the meanwhile has started evacuating villages in the border area. So clearly more retaliation is expected.
7 is a very big number and the fact that all of those were sworn Pakistani rangers makes it even more crucial. It will be interesting to note how Pakistan accepts this humiliation. As for the Indian Citizens this comes as another reason to celebrate the presence of a strong government in the center, a government that doesn’t just promise to avenge the martyrs and retaliate to unprovoked aggression but actually goes ahead and fulfills its promises. As for Pakistan this is second major jolt in less than a month. Mend your ways or we know where to fire our bullets.
