I write to you today because like so many of my fellow citizens, I am both angry and anguished. I am aware that a missive from someone like you – “presstitute”, “bazaaru”, “sickular” and worst of all, “anti-national”- will be most likely junked by the Prime Minister, as not worthy of his time.

However, as I belong to those millions who waste time watching the rants of all journalists during prime time, I thought an esteemed Anti National Sickular Presstitute may perhaps listen to my grievances – for once. Indeed it was great on part of you and NDTV to cover the lives of soldiers and accept my congratulations for that. However, I have a problem with your style of reporting; not only of you and your channel, but including TimesNow etc. I wonder from the way your reporting on Gujarat riots, whether you were trying to state facts or fan the flame of hatred in the mob, polarising the society. For a fact, as I know, only in these riots, both Hindus and Muslims were killed. Ehsan Jafri, who fired on the mob and was subsequently killed became a Hero for you. Go and listen the statements made by Owaisi brothers and Azam Khan, on which you never comment, but questioned Sakshi Maharaj and that Sadhvi, whose name I don’t remember. I would like to know why you and other Anti National Sickular Presstitute (I am using this word only because you declared one yourself) did not show the same enthusiasm in the riots that happened in Assam, Hyderabad and so many other places, though I know you never would show these things, for your partiality – the same thing you accuse Narendra Modi.

Barkha Dutt ji, How convenient it is for a Anti National Sickular Presstitute to talk about only the ‘Azadi’, sought by Kanhaiya – strangely from hunger and forget the next line of the slogan – ‘Bharat ki Barbadi’. This selective amnesia is the main attribute that makes you ‘Prestitute’. Mother shall be forgiving and never should be heartless. If Mother India was not forgiving, these students would never have raised these slogans. All said and done, it was the freedom of speech, exercised a bit more freely in this country – is the main reason why we didn’t have agitations like Arab springs. Had JNU be in the country, whose philosophy your channel owners follow, there would never have been arrests, but funerals. Remember the Tiananmen Square incident? I am not averse to the idea of Kashmiri Muslim shouting for Azadi. Let him do it in his place. When a regular Kashmiri going to Delhi says “I am going to India”, you can understand this. I would like to see what you would say when a Tamilian or a Maharashtrian or a Bengalis say the same way. I know, you cannot visualise this. It is beyond your comprehension. Had this agitation happened in any other free country of this world, you might have seen more harsher action from the Government. Indeed this is not a correct Government, for it failed the incident from happening. And more so, arresting Kanhaiyya with your friend Khalid hiding underground! Had I been the Home Minister, I would have fired the Bassi the next day itself.

I have seen more student agitations, probably more than you or any other Anti National Sickular Presstitute. In the Rohith’s case, the suicide was really unfortunate. But, more heinous was the way it was projected. Speaking without bias, his opponents also do have a right to their opinion. If Rohit beats up them for having a different opinion, you suggest no case should be filed? If so, you should exonerate OP Sharma, the fool he was, for beating one hapless person. If tomorrow OP Sharma commits suicide, will you and Ravish take responsibility for driving him to suicide?

Was it the first time a Dadri type incident happened in independent India? There were many. And by the way you people treat these dead bodies as instruments to increase your bloody TRPs, they will happen again. Not because of Mullahs or Pandits, but for self serving people. Why you failed to mention the killing of Hindus by Muslims? In fact, Anti National Sickular Presstitute like you are converting many an ordinary people into fundamentalists; always reporting you -vs-them. If not for half wit people like you, BJP, the party that had won only 2 seats in the 1984 elections, could never have formed a government, on its own. In your bigotry, you always failed to see the other side, for you wore a coloured glasses.

More so – Maam, I have a doubt for long – Why the hell all riots happen where Minority is the Majority? If Hindus are really that bad, they should have targeted the easy ones and eliminated them, like Kashmiri Muslims drove Pandits or Hindus became almost extinct in the God’s own country – Pakistan! Go to the library and read about the country, removing the glasses of false doctrines.

Before asking Modi to get the Police and Home Ministry to release Kanhaiya and apologise, will you and all Anti National Sickular Presstitute s apologise the the very Narendra Modi, whom you accused time and again – for the same courts have exonerated him from all your accusations?

The youth is the future, to you, to me and to us all. That is the exact reason why the universities should be places of knowledge and wisdom, but not places where politics corrupt the young minds, spoiling their careers and lives and so the next generation itself.

Finally, don’t pretend journalists are also VIPs. If one of your colleagues was beaten, go to police and file an FIR. Don’t hold hands in the streets. If all clerks, mechanics, teachers start holding hands on streets… I know how it looks like, but want you to imagine the picture…

Yours sincerely,

Kannan
