Radical islamist influencer Mohammad Nabil Hijab has officially been humiliated in court, exposed as a liar, and left facing bankruptcy after his disastrous defeat at the hands of Spectator magazine and British journalist, author Douglas Murray.

The case stemmed from a Spectator article published in September 2022 by Murray that reported on Hijab’s involvement in the Leicester riots, a series of communal clashes that had been unleashed on the local Hindus.

In the column, Murray accused Hijab of “cropping up in Leicester to whip up his followers” during unrest between Muslim and Hindu groups in the city. The article argued that Hijab’s visit had inflamed local tensions and contributed to the escalation of violence.

Mohammed Hijab, a known radical and divisive figure has a big YouTube following of 1.3 million followers. On being called out for his instiagtory antics Hijab claimed that the article in the Spectator about the riots, titled “Leicester and the downside with diversity” and published in September 2022, defamed him.

As per reports, Hijab travelled to Leicester in September 2022 during tensions between Muslims and Hindus, addressing a masked crowd with remarks the court found to be ridicule of Hindus. He even made a inflamotray speeches against Hindu ideologies later posting it on his Youtube channel, on 18 September that year.

In his address, he mocked Hindus, stating, “what a humiliation and pathetic thing for them to be reincarnated into some pathetic weak cowardly people like that.”

Hijab later maintained that the comment was directed at “Hindutva” nationalists rather than Hindus as a whole. He also claimed the article had damaged his reputation and caused him to lose income from brand partnerships and charitable engagements.

The court, however, found the evidence for these losses to be “contrived”, according to The Telegraph. In a judgment handed down on Tuesday in the High Court, Justice Johnson ruled that what Murray wrote about Hijab was “substantially true, and it is not materially inaccurate.”

Justice Johnson wrote, “When asked to name anyone in the world who subscribed to the Hindutva ideology but who was not Hindu [Hejab] was able to give only one name—Benjamin Netanyahu.”

He further stated that Hijab “lied on significant issues, with the consequence that his evidence, overall, is worthless.”

Johnson also referred to a video of Hijab’s speech in Leicester, noting that it shows him, “far more vividly than is conveyed by the words of the article, directly whipping up a large group of masked men and ridiculing Hinduism.”

As per reports, the decision means Hijab will be forced to repay legal costs to Murray and The Spectator.

Last year in August, Hijab suggested this could amount to hundreds of thousands of pounds, with a post on X stating, “I have been given a bill of 670,000 pounds sterling.”

This week, he told the JC that the number “is closer” to £850,000 including VAT. “I’m a litigant in person now so I’m trying to figure it all out as I go along,” he said.

As per reports, on Hijab’s conduct in court, the judge described his behaviour as “combative and constantly argumentative. I am satisfied that he lied on significant issues, with the consequence that his evidence, overall, is worthless.”

Justice Johnson further noted that Hijab failed to present “credible material” evidence and had even provided material with “the appearance of being contrived for the purpose of these proceedings.”

This ruling marks a victory for Murray, and the Spectator which have displayed true journalism refusing to back down from their factual stance despite considerable pressure from Hijab’s radical brigade. It is also a lesson for hatemongers that their divisive and targeted agendas against Hindus will not go unanswered, in an albeit legal and structured way unlike the radical violent street mobs Hijab is associated with.

Unfortunately Hijab is not the only one as there are many other hateful radical mob leaders in the UK who have been targeting the peaceful Hindu community, but for now this decision will vindicate them that the system will not tolerate radicals like Hijab to run amock and hijack the state to openly threaten a peaceful minority community like the Hindus.
