Kapil Sharma Receives Threat from Lawrence Bishnoi Gang

Popular Indian comedian and actor Kapil Sharma has reportedly received a direct threat from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, just days after a second firing incident occurred at his café in Surrey, Canada.

A chilling message, allegedly posted online by Goldy Dhillon, a known associate of the Bishnoi gang, has now gone viral. The post not only claimed responsibility for the shooting at Sharma’s café, but also issued a stark warning: Kapil Sharma’s next ‘punishment’ could happen in Mumbai if he continues to “ignore” their attempts to contact him.

What the Gang Allegedly Said

According to reports, the online threat included a message suggesting that Kapil had been contacted previously by the gang, but did not respond. The message stated (translated from Hindi):

“We tried calling him, but he didn’t answer. That’s why we took this step. If he still doesn’t get in touch, our next action will be in Mumbai.”

This statement has raised concerns across law enforcement agencies in both Canada and India, as it directly targets not just a public figure, but also Mumbai, one of India’s most high-profile cities.

Second Shooting at Kap’s Café in a Month

This comes shortly after the second gunfire incident at Sharma’s Kap’s Café in Surrey, which was attacked again less than a month after the first firing. In both instances, multiple rounds were fired, shattering windows and damaging property, although no one was injured.

The latest shooting happened late at night and was captured on CCTV, which showed masked men firing at the café before speeding off on a two-wheeler.

Lawrence Bishnoi Gang’s Involvement

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has been linked to a series of high-profile threats and attacks in recent years, including cases involving Bollywood celebrities, Punjabi singers, and businessmen. Their network allegedly operates both from within India and through international connections, especially in Canada.

Goldy Dhillon, who claimed responsibility in this case, is reportedly operating from abroad and is suspected to be coordinating activities with other Bishnoi-linked operatives in Canada.

Police Response & Investigation

Canadian law enforcement is currently investigating the authenticity of the social media post and tracking the origin of the threat. They are also probing whether the same individuals were involved in both attacks on the café.

Meanwhile, in India, the Mumbai Police and central security agencies are on alert following the mention of the city in the gang’s threat. Additional security measures may be considered for Kapil Sharma and his family.

Kapil Sharma Yet to Respond

As of now, Kapil Sharma has not made any official statement regarding the latest threat or the second firing. After the first attack in July, he had expressed concern but maintained that he would not let such incidents affect his work or commitment to his audience.

However, with a second attack and now a direct threat to his safety, concerns have grown for the comedian’s well-being, both in India and abroad.

Why This Matters

This sequence of events—two shootings and an open gang threat—has escalated beyond just celebrity news. It raises larger concerns about:

The reach of organized crime operating internationally

The safety of Indian celebrities with overseas assets

The need for cross-border law enforcement coordination

What began as isolated criminal activity has now grown into a transnational threat involving India’s entertainment industry and criminal syndicates operating from overseas. The fact that a celebrity of Kapil Sharma’s stature is being openly targeted shows the boldness of these gangs and the urgent need for a coordinated international response.
