After a brief exchange of gunfire, both infiltrators were neutralised. According to official reports, three weapons were recovered from the slain terrorists. The joint operation involved elite Army Para Commandos, CRPF, and the Jammu and Kashmir Police. Home Minister Amit Shah confirmed in Parliament that all three terrorists were directly responsible for the cowardly attack in Pahalgam, where 26 innocent tourists were killed
Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the operation on social media platform X, stating, “Operation Mahadev and Operation Sindoor have played a vital role in eliminating cowardly terrorists.” DGP Nalin Prabhat also assured the public that the clean-up operations are ongoing, with remaining terrorists being identified and neutralised one by one.
