Nainital rape case aftermath: Tensions flared up in Uttarakhand’s Nainital district on Wednesday (30th April) after a heinous case of crime against a minor Hindu girl came to the fore. The Police have arrested a 76-year-old accused named Usman on the charge of raping a 12-year-old minor girl. The dastardly act triggered a massive outrage among the local Hindu community who staged a protest demanding speedy Justice for the minor victim.
As per reports, the protest allegedly turned violent for a brief period, but the Police brought the situation under control in no time. However, the mainstream media reportage, rather than emphasizing with the minor victim and highlighting the gruesome details of the heinous act, they resorted to furthering the boogie of Muslim victimhood instead.
The Headlines in MSM reports brazenly paints the local Hindu community in bad light, framing them as aggressors engaging in religious targeting of Muslim shop owners. The sexual assault of the minor Hindu girl has taken back seat in majority of the mainstream media reports, while the local’s outburst demanding Justice for their daughter has taken the centrestage, that too in plain communally charged up rhetoric, painting them as frenzied aggressor.
