On March 10, India defeated New Zealand in the final and successfully claimed the Champions Trophy title Trophy. While the entire nation erupted in celebrations, India’s victory did not go down well for a usual suspects and a large section of society.
Incidentally, a Muslim mob launched a vicious attack on cricket fans who were taking out a rally to celebrate Indian cricket team’s victory in the ICC Champions Trophy. The Islamist mob attacked the commoners part of the victory rally near Jama Masjid in Mhow. The frenzied Islamist mob resorted to arsoning as the Islamist miscreants set two vehicles and two shops on fire.
According to reports, the rally was passing through the Jama Masjid area when Islamists from the vicinity started pelting stones at the participants. This triggered a violent confrontation, forcing several individuals to abandon their motorcycles and flee the scene. The chaos soon escalated, prompting the deployment of a heavy police force from Indore rural and Indore city to restore order.
Following the violence, authorities assured the public that the situation was under control.
Indore Rural SP Hitika Vasal stated, “Tension erupted between two sides, leading to incidents of violence. The incident took place after Team India’s victory celebrations. The situation is now completely under control. I urge people not to believe in fake news. Adequate police forces are patrolling the area, and a thorough investigation is underway. Those responsible for the violence will be punished accordingly.”
Indore Collector Ashish Singh also confirmed that the area was secure, stating, “The situation is under control, and security forces have been deployed. The exact cause of the clashes will be determined after investigation.”
Mhow, being a military cantonment, already has stationed army personnel; however, no separate army deployment was required. As per initial reports, at least three people were injured in the clashes. While the secularites group paint a falsified rosy picture saying, “Sabka khoon shamil hai desh ki mitthi me, kisi ke baap ka Hindustan thodi hai (Rough translation – Everyone sacrified for the country’s freedom and Independence)”. However, over the years, a clear cut pattern has emerged where radical youths within the Muslim community, be in prestigious universities of J&K or elsewhere or in the so-called Muslim neighbourhood had burst into elation whenever India’s enemy Pakistan emerge victories. Whereas a stunned silence and revenge attacks on crowds celebrating India’s cricketing triumph has become all the more eminent and frequent.
