Another gruesome case of blackmail, rape and crime against minor has come to light from Rajasthan. In the Tonk district, a 14-year-old Dalit girl was sexually exploited by 6 accused. It is alleged that the ordeal continued for more than one and a half years.
As per media reports, an accused named Nihal Akram befriended the minor victim via Instagram. After coaxing the victim, he made her obscene videos. He then sent it to his friends. He along with his accomplices used the video to blackmail the minor victim and commit the heinous act.
The case pertains to Rajasthan’s Tonk district. The victim’s father has filed a police complaint against six accused. Based on the victim’s statement, the police have registered a case and arrested four accused.
The minor victim’s statement brings to notice rampant rise in crime against minor
Speaking with Bhaskar, the victim narrated her ordeal. She said, “About one and a half years ago, Nihal Akram sent a message on Instagram and praised a video shared on Insta. I also replied to the message by writing thank you. After this he sent the message again. I didn’t know what was going on in his mind. But while talking to him, we became friends.”
The victim further added, “After this, Akram asked me for my mobile number and I also gave it. Then we started talking on the phone. He used to talk to me very nicely. Sometimes, he would even come near the house to meet. One day he started asking me for my nude videos. At first, I did it. But then he started coaxing. I fell for his words and made a video and sent it on Snapchat.”
She continued, “After receiving the video, Akram started threatening to make it viral. He used to blackmail me again and again. Suddenly, everything changed. I was not able to understand what to do. After this, he started asking me for money. First, I somehow sent him Rs 4,000. But even after this, he did not agree, and his demands kept increasing. I kept asking for money from my family and giving it to him. When I did not give the money, he kept raping me again and again.”

“When he used to rape me, I would often start screaming. In such situations, he used to stuff clothes in my mouth. Once, crossing all limits of cruelty, he bit my private part with his teeth. All this continued for several months. After this, he sent my video to his friend Arbaaz. After this, Arbaaz also started threatening to make the video viral, and when I refused, he raped me.”
After this, Arbaaz also sent that video to his two friends, Maheep and Insal Nazir. Both of them also started blackmailing through the video and then raped the minor victim. After this, one day, Nihal Akram forcibly took the victim on a bike to an under-construction house. Where two other minor boys were already present. After this, all three gangraped the victim.
However, Akram didn’t stop there either. He would constantly call the victim to sexually exploit her and extort money. It is alleged that when she refused, Akram hacked the victim’s Snapchat and sent her obscene video to her brother. After this, the matter came to light. Then, the victim’s father talked to his daughter and lodged an FIR against the accused.
It is pertinent to note that there is a massive scandal going on where criminals lure adolescent girls, once they befriend them, they coax them or forcibly record their private and objectionable videos. This is followed by a sordid tale of blackmail and sexual exploitation.
