Saif Ali Khan stabbing: Suspected Bangladeshi illegal Mohammad Shariful Islam arrested; used fake Hindu alias

On Sunday (19th January), Mumbai Police held a riveting press conference to share updates about the ongoing investigation in the high-profile stabbing case of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. 

In an explosive revelation, the DCP Zone 9 Dixit Gedam told reporters that they have arrested an accused named Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad in the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case. Mohd Islam, is suspected to be an illegal Bangladeshi immigrant who was using a fake Hindu alias of Vijay Das. If the initial investigation details hold true, it highlights the grave danger of illegal Bangladeshi, Rohingya Muslims and the larger conspiracy of Islamist forces that has been underway to carry out terror attacks or other criminal activities using Hindu identity. It is nothing but the vile extension of the Hindu/saffron terror bogie to falsely implicate Hindus and lower the community to the same pedestal as that of Islamists who carry out illegal activities in the name of Islam while invoking communal slogans.  

During the press conference, Mumbai Police stated that the arrested accused Mohd Islam entered India illegally and he was using fake Hindu identity of Vijay Das.

“On 16th January, at 2 am, actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his residence. FIR was registered and one accused has been arrested. His name is Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, he is 30 years old. He entered the house with the intention of robbery. He will be produced in the court and custody will be demanded. Further investigation will take place later… We doubt he is of Bangladeshi origin, ” DCP Zone 9 Dixit Gedam said, as quoted by news agency ANI.

The senior officer noted, “Prima facie the accused is a Bangladeshi and after entering India illegally he changed his name. He was using Vijay Das as his current name. He came to Mumbai 5-6 months ago. He stayed in Mumbai for a few days and then in the vicinity of Mumbai. The accused used to work in a housekeeping agency.”

DSP further said, “There is primary evidence to anticipate that the accused is a Bangladeshi. He does not have valid Indian documents. There are some seizures that indicate that he is a Bangladeshi national…”

Attack on Actor Saif Ali Khan in his residence

The Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was brutally attacked in his 11th-floor Bandra apartment during the early hours of January 16. Mumbai Police is investigating the attack and a suspect has been detained and brought to the Bandra police station whose name appears to be a history sheeter named Shahid according to multiple media reports.

The incident unfolded at approximately 2:30 a.m. when an intruder entered Khan’s residence using the fire escape staircase. The assailant confronted the actor’s maid and demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore. According to the maid’s statement, the attacker was armed with a hexa blade and a wooden object. When Saif Ali Khan attempted to intervene, the situation escalated into a violent altercation, resulting in the actor sustaining severe stab wounds.

Saif Ali Khan was rushed to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery. Doctors successfully removed a 2.5-inch-long blade lodged in his thoracic spinal cord and repaired damage caused by leaking spinal fluid. While his condition is stable, the actor remains in the ICU under close medical supervision.

Pakistanis as well as Islamists sitting in India had peddled baseless and brazenly communal falsehoods alleging that the Bollywood actor, Saif Ali Khan, suffered a brutal attack, because of his Muslim identity. Driven by communal agenda, AIMIM party leader Waris Pathan too alleged the same citing past incidences of attacks on Baba Siddiqui, Salman Khan and Saif Ali Khan. Giving the stray incidences a communal colour, he said that the victim’s name has Khan, Khan, Khan, in a clear attempt to peddle the boogie of Muslim victimhood.

It is important to note that the Mumbai Police is currently investigating the case and initial reports indicate that theft was the motive behind the brutal attack on Saif Ali Khan. Contrary to the Islamist propaganda, the entire state government and country’s administration is ensuring the safe recovery of Khan, whom the country made a renowned face and an actor, which should by itself have been a resounding slap to Pakistanis and their Islamist lackeys in India.

Now, ironically, while the Islamists were trying to paint it as a communal incident and an attack on Muslim, Mumbai police have revealed the identity of the arrested accused as Mohd Sariful Islam Shehzad, a suspected Bangladeshi illegal.
