Recently, Darrin Bell, the Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist formely working with ‘The Washington Post’ who lies under the bracket of the same woke ecosystem and celebrated for his satirical comic strips Candorville and Rudy Park, was arrested on charges of possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
According to reports, detectives from the Sacramento Valley Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit launched an investigation following a tip-off implicating Darrin Bell, aged 49. Law enforcement officials executed a search warrant at Darin Bell’s residence, uncovering evidence related to the possession of CSAM.

The investigation also revealed that Bell was in possession of AI-generated child sexual abuse material, a category of offense newly criminalised in California as of January 1, 2025. This case marks the first arrest under the updated legislation targeting computer-generated CSAM.
Darrin Bell is currently held in custody at the Sacramento County Main Jail, with bail set at $1 million. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 17. California law prohibits the public release of Bell’s booking photo, as confirmed by a news release from authorities.
