On Thursday evening, the fourth day of Maha Kumbh, over 2.5 million devotees took a holy bath at Triveni Sangam, a sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers.
According to the numbers published, by 5 p.m. on Thursday, nearly 2.5 million people have visited the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. They took a sacred dip in the Sangam with more than 1 million Kalpvasis and 1.5 million extra devotees.
In the world’s most prominent religious gathering, over 60 million devotees have participated so far. On January 14, on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, over 35 million participated in the Amrit Snan.
In such a gathering where millions of people have come to witness the holiest bath, lost and found people and things become a regular business. The Prayagraj administration established an AI-based computerised lost and found centre to tackle this situation.

On Wednesday, a 21-member delegation from ten different countries reached Prayagraj at Arail Tent City in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj to take a holy dip at Triveni Sangam.
The delegation is part of the invited personality of the External Publicity and Public Diplomacy Division of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. These people will take a holy dip at Triveni Sangam on Thursday.
Sally El Azab, from the United Arab Emirates, is among the several international pilgrims who have reached Prayagraj to experience the Kumbh Mela, the largest religious gathering in the world.
The visiting delegation came from Fiji, Finland, Guyana, Malaysia, Mauritius, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Trinidad & Tobago, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This demonstrates global interest in this spiritual event.
According to the statement, the Mahakumbh, held under the leadership of the Yogi government, has received global attention this year. Their (Delegations) accommodations were given at the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation’s Tent City in Arail.
Maha Kumbh, which began on January 13, will last till February 26. The key dates for Amrit Snan are January 29 (Mauni Amavasya – Second Amrit Snan), February 3 (Basant Panchami – Third Amrit Snan), February 12 (Maghi Purnima), and February 26 (Maha Shivaratri).
