The Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi has proved to be an abject failure in terms of delivering on its promises of providing better education, basic amenities, cleaning Yamuna, making Delhi comparable to Tokyo and whatnot. Additionally, it has proved to be a colossal disaster when it comes to taking responsibility and owing up for its goof ups, blunders, misgovernance model, misdeed in promoting spurious things like Liquor and allegedly minting huge sums for political campaigning. Having been in power in a revenue-surplus half-state, the party’s biggest advantage has been the exploitation of public exchequers money for political advertisement, buying out media’s silence on key issues, and furthering a polished and fabricated image of the government.

However, the mountain of lies have seemingly caught up with its government officials so much so that it is a virtual split and head on tussle between AAP’s government wing and its political arm. It’s virtually an AAP vs AAP fiasco in Delhi at play but with abject content to logic, AAP National Convenor held a presser to play victim alleging it to be a BJP conspiracy. He added that the BJP could soon send agencies to arrest senior AAP leaders and raid their premises, ignoring the fact that it is the Delhi government’s Department, a department of the AAP government, has flagged fraudulent acts of the Aam Aadmi Party, not an organ of the BJP or its extended arms.

The AAP vs AAP saga explained

On 24th December, registrations started for the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana, a major poll plank of the AAP to provide a monthly assistance of Rs 1,000 to eligible women above the age of 18. As soon as the scheme stepped its foot, the lies of AAP got exposed by none other than the Women and Child Development Department of the Delhi Government which is again led by the Aam Aadmi Party.

Two of the schemes of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana, over which Aam Aadmi Party was looking forward to content upcoming Delhi Elections in 2025 have come under scrutiny after public notices from Delhi’s WCDD departments flagged them as “non-existent.”

Last week, AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal announced these initiatives ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. The Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana promises Rs 1,000 per month to women above 18 years, with a proposed increase to Rs 2,100 if AAP retains power. Inspired by similar schemes in other states, it was allocated Rs 2,000 crore in the 2024-25 budget. Simultaneously, the Sanjeevani Yojana aims to provide free healthcare to residents above 60 years.

However, both schemes have faced backlash, with government departments issuing public warning. Delhi govt’s WCDD stated that it had not been notified about the Mahila Samman Yojana and described any registration attempts as fraudulent. Similarly, the Health Department flagged concerns over the Sanjeevani Yojana, cautioning citizens against sharing personal details.

In a public notice, the WCDD of the Delhi Government stated that it had come across media reports and social media posts suggesting that a political party is claiming to provide Rs 2,100 per month to women in Delhi under the ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana’.

In the public notice issued in national newspapers, the Delhi government’s department categorically mentioned, “It is clarified that no such scheme has been notified by the Delhi Government. It is emphasized that since no such Scheme is in existence, the question of acceptance of the form/application for registration under this non-existent Scheme does not arise. Any private person/political party who is collecting forms/applications or collecting information from applicants in the name of this scheme is committing fraud and has no authority”.

This completely exposed the malicious intention of the AAP’s government to deceive the public and get hold of the electoral votes. It shows that the AAP government was nowhere concerned regarding the women or the health of the Delhites but only about electoral gains which they planned of gaining through these schemes.
