A large number of Indians feel that the current economic condition of the country is better, and they are satisfied with it. In one year, those who believe so have increased by 4%, as per the findings mentioned in the Ipsos survey.

India is number two among 29 countries of the world, where most people consider the current economic condition better than the past. Singapore is at number one, the survey by Ipsos, a Paris-headquartered multinational market research and consulting firm, said. 78% percent of Indians said that the current economic condition is good. In the survey conducted in 29 countries, unemployment in India and crime and violence in the world have been marked biggest concerns.

Sixty-one percent of the people in the world say that the economic condition of their country is bad. The highest number of people who believe so is in Japan at 86%.

In India, the number of people who consider inflation as the biggest concern decreased by 16% in a year.

However, even now 30% of people surveyed in the country consider inflation, and the same number of people consider unemployment as a big concern. Out of the top-5 concerns, only those who consider poverty and inequality as a big concern have increased by 4%.

Three main points of the survey

The number of people who consider 4 out of the top 5 concerns of India as a big concern has decreased. We are 21st among 29 countries in crime and violence.

Thirty percent of Indians consider unemployment as a big concern, but in 12 months, those who consider unemployment as a big concern have decreased by 9%, it said.

After the war began between Russia and Ukraine, this is the first time in the last two and a half years that ‘inflation’ is not the biggest concern of the world. Now ‘violence and crime’ are the biggest concerns.

The world is not concerned about climate change

Indians are unconcerned about ‘climate change’ which is causing the most damage to the world including India.

In the survey, only 13% of Indians considered it a concern. Only 16% of the world’s population has called it a major concern.

Despite the long-standing border dispute with Pakistan and China, only 10% of Indians are worried about military conflict. ‘Economic and political corruption’ is among the top 5 concerns of the world. But in the last year, the number of people considering it a major concern has decreased by 1%.

Effects of war-related violence are a big concern for 31%

Crime/violence: 31% consider it a major concern. Those considering it decreased by 1% in 1 year but increased by 2% in 1 Inflation: 30% consider it a major concern. Those considering it decreased by 8% in 1 year, 2% in 1 month.

Poverty-inequality: 29% consider it a major concern. Those considering it decreased by 2% in 1 year, 2% in 1 month.

Unemployment: 28% consider it a major concern. Such figures have decreased by 2% in 1 year and 1% on monthly basis.

Political corruption: Fourth biggest concern. Those who believe this have decreased by 1% in 1 year, but increased by 1% in 1 month.

On all parameters, Europeans are the least worried and Asians are the most

According to the Ipsos survey, the South American country Chile is most worried about “violence and crime”.

Eastern European country Hungary is the most peaceful place. Here only 7% are worried about this. Turks (57%) are the most worried about inflation in the world. Swedes (17%) are the most confident about inflation in the world.

Thailand people (47%) see “poverty and social inequality” the most in their country. Singaporeans (17%) see “poverty and social inequality” the least in their country. South Africans (66%) are the most worried in the world. “Financial and political corruption” remains the biggest cause of concern for Indonesia (63%).
