Opposition forces propagated propaganda against the Modi government under the guise of anti-India agendas and made full efforts to prevent the BJP from coming into power. However, this is the first time since 1962 that a party has secured power for the third consecutive time. The Lok Sabha elections have concluded. With 292 seats, the BJP-led NDA has secured a clear majority, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leading the government at the center for the third consecutive term.
According to OpenAI, the company that created ChatGPT, an Israeli company called Stoik (Stoick) had conspired to influence the elections using artificial intelligence (AI). Despite this, the NDA coalition managed to pull the chariot of public opinion to 292 seats, which should be considered as “crossing 400.” It is crucial for everyone to know how anti-national forces and leftist lobbies attempted to influence this election.
Lieutenant General (Retd.) Nitin Kohli says, “In the last 10 years, significant development has taken place in the country. The Modi government has also strengthened the defense sector. However, global powers did not want the Modi government to come back to power again, because if there is political stability in the country, there will be economic progress, which Western powers do not want. Therefore, a conspiracy was hatched.”
According to Nandini Sharma, an IT specialist, “During the elections, on social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter, the Indian opposition alliance circulated misleading posts such as ‘We will change the Constitution,’ ‘We will end reservations,’ ‘We will remove Yogi Ji,’ etc. with the help of artificial intelligence. Specialists were consulted for this purpose.”
Disinfo Lab
An organization named Disinfo Lab claimed in its report that the Henry Louis Foundation (HLF) and George Soros’s Open Society Foundation (OSF) made significant efforts to influence voter opinion in India.
Disinfo Lab’s report claims that during the elections in India, efforts were made to influence the elections using print, electronic, and social media. Foreign media outlets as well as some organizations present in India were involved in this effort.
Conspiracies from all over the world
Conspiracies were hatched from countries like France, Canada, Israel, and the United States to influence the elections. Some reputable newspapers from France were particularly involved in this. Articles were published based on the statements of political analysts from France. Disinfo Lab also mentioned Rikin Patel from Canada in its report.
It is claimed that “to influence the general elections in India, the HLF and OSF provided financial assistance to Nameeta’s institute. The HLF provided Nameeta with three million dollars, while the OSF provided financial assistance of 13.85 million dollars.”
Before this, the HLF had provided financial assistance to radical Islamic groups and Pakistan’s clandestine agency ISI. According to the report, “Christopher and his colleagues Warriors, through the Trivedi Center for Political Data (TCPD) at Ashoka University, promoted a fabricated story that there is low representation of lower castes in Indian politics.”
The report further states that Christopher wrote an article on ‘the need for caste census’ in 2021. The Disinfo Lab report claims that as a result of this, Christopher Jefferlot received a large sum of money from the Henry Louis Foundation (HLF) in America. According to Disinfo Lab, Jefferlot was given a sum of 3.85 million dollars to work on the article ‘Muslims in the age of Hindu majority.’
Disinfo Lab also claims that “the HLF provided financial assistance to several other institutions from 2020 to 2024 to run anti-India agendas.” The report also mentioned the Berkeley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs.
Berkeley Center
The Berkeley Center was provided with financial assistance of 3.46 million dollars. After this, the Berkeley Institute prepared a report on Hindu rights and India’s religious politics. The HLF provided financial assistance of 1.20 million dollars to the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace (CEIP) to prepare a report on authoritarian repression, Hindu nationalism, and the growing influence of Hindus.
CEIP
CEIP was then given a sum of 40,000 dollars to prepare another report. It is alleged that this amount was given in 2019 to prepare a report on ‘BJP in power: Indian democracy and religious nationalism’ just before the Lok Sabha elections.
Human Rights Watch (HRW)
The HLF provided financial assistance of three million dollars to Human Rights Watch (HRW) to prepare a report on violence in Asia. HRW mentioned India in its report, not Pakistan and Afghanistan. In addition to this, the institute of Audrey Truschke, South Asia Activist Collective (SAASC), was also funded by the HLF to prepare a report on Hindu nationalism.
Anti-India behavior on social media
Left-leaning YouTubers and social media influencers spread false stories on social media platforms, misleading Indian voters. Some YouTubers, whose political affiliations and playing with truth have been exposed many times, attempted to influence people on a large scale by spreading propaganda.
Rathee’s video ‘Modi: The Real Story’ alone has been viewed 27 million times. Misleading posts of the Indian alliance continued.
